   Our experience has definitely improved since our first visit almost 18 months ago. The service was great. The environment/ambience was very pleasing and the food, most importantly, was excellent. My fried chicken was crispy outside and moist inside. Well seasoned. Very nicely done. Collard greens were cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly fried and seasoned. Thank you SCK, you have redeemed yourselves for me and we will certainly be back soon!

   We were there for a romantic valentines overnight stay at the hotel. Overall the food is good and the coffee was very good at brunch - however the spout wasn’t operating well and coffee was spilled all over my lap. No compesantion for that. The biscuits and waffle were extremely salty. The eggs and grits were delicious. Overall nice place with a few hiccups.

   We have been wanting to try this place for a while. We had the brunch menu today and tried the South City breakfast and the Kings biscuit, both dishes were amazing! We will definitely be back to try the lunch/dinner menus.

   Our server requires additional hospitality training and should focus more on customer details. I made a reservation noting our anniversary, but this was not acknowledged. The service was lacking, and management did not appear concerned about the customer service issues.
