   We live in Nashville and come to Charleston twice a year. This is our favorite restaurant hands down. Honestly, they deserve a James Beard Award. The food is incredibly imaginative with unusual flavors. From the short rib, roasted cauliflower and beet dessert there’s nothing quite like this.

   Delicious! Very inventive! Our best meal in Charleston. The 6 course tasting menu is the way to go. Not pretentious. The various sauces show a great mastery.

   Fun local place, lots of very good veg options. Warm service. I had the cauliflower with peanut and green curry sauce and the little gem salad. Cauliflower could have been a little more al dente, but flavor of that was good. Loved the tahini and pistachios with the salad. All food was fresh, seasonal and well presented without feeling fussy. The staff all seemed like they enjoyed working there with each other.

   Definetly eat here. Humble decor but fabulous, imaginative food. We had a new cabbage dish that was an ideal blend of flavors. Vegan options were beautiful and tasy. The short ribs and house pasta were perfect for sharing. In short, order things that sound different and I promise you will be impressed. We ordered all 3 desserts and even the beets surprised. A must for relaxed fine dining.

   By far this is one of my favorite restaurants in Charleston. You will not be disappointed! The food is pricey but it is worth every penny. Take my advice- get the homeade ricotta and focaccia! I will be back next time I’m visiting. Thank you Sorghum and Salt!

    Food was nice however a bit too salty (though that may be our British palettes!). Server was absolutely lovely and overall very nice vibes
