   I enjoyed my experience at Somerville. The staff were kind and attentive. I ordered the Salmon and it came out quickly. Some areas of improvement: portion size - my salmon & rice pilaf serving was very small and was not accompanied by any vegetable, table lighting - very difficult to see the menu w/o using the flashlight on my phone, Availability of menu selections - Many items were sold out and Restaurant Entrance - One person checking in and seating causes delays, Restrictions on entry- My party was already seated, however, I wasn’t allowed to enter w/o the hostess. I look forward to improvements and coming in a couple of months when some of these kinks have been worked out.

   The food came out too slowly. People who came in after us got their food before us so the kitchen is still working things out. But the food was worth the wait! Really excellent! And the ambiance is incredibly well thought out. It’s a beautiful addition to South LA. Can’t wait to go back.

   Yeah…please don’t let the rumors cause you to miss out on this place. The entire experience was AMAZING! Starting with the Parker rolls js the one thing you should guarantee, I’ll be thinking about them for weeks. We ordered the salmon, rolls, Brussels sprouts, burger, truffle fries and TWO orders of the Chicken and caviar. Also had their take on the old fashioned and a Paloma. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly and the icing on the cake was the conversation with their customer experience manager. She solidified the visit for us and I cannot wait to go back!

   We were seated right away with our reservation. Our server was polite and attentive. The food choices we selected were all excellent. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and the music was just what the doctor ordered. I will be back.

   We ordered the Oysters (delicious), MacNCheese, Brussels Sprouts(our favorite), Black Goddess salad(2nd favorite), Collard Lasagna, Somerville Burger( Least fav due to sandwich spread, took away from the waygu),Mighty River, Espresso Martini cocktails and a Chocolate ganche dessert with cappuccinos. The ambience was awesome, low lights and intimate setting. Flawless and time era centered decor set the tone. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and the food, enviroment and people. I'd give 4.5 out of 5 for the sandwich spread and still waiting about 15 minutes after scheduled 8pm reservations to be seated. However, they offered us tea and didn't make us wait outside, so I appreciated that. Also they had dedicated staff checking on every section but not in an overbearing way but anticipatory. Service was great and I can't wait to check them out in 2months or so to see the improvements. I think they have more than enough potential to be a grand staple.

   Fantastic food, ambience and service. Music was great and the best part was we could hear each other and did not have to shout across the table. Hope you are thinking of extending to brunch on the weekends once you are established We will be back either way

   We made a reservation, so it was easy to get in, even though there’s a line for people that are waiting for a table or a space at the bar. Don’t be fooled, just go up to the check in stand and you’ll be whisked in. When you enter, you’ll notice the beautiful wood paneling all around, the beautiful mood lighting, and the seating is very comfortable very luscious and luxurious. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable, are treated with care. The food is good the and the drinks are delicious. I enjoyed myself thoroughly and will be coming again since I live in View Park. So excited to have a beautiful restaurant of this caliber just around the corner. My neighbors and I will be joining regularly, thank you, Isa Ray, and Co. for creating a space for us, we so appreciate it, Your View Park fan club!

   I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Somerville. From the moment my friends and I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. We started with the Parker House Rolls and Fried Chicken and Caviar Sliders which was a perfect balance of flavors and beautifully presented. For the main course, we had the wagyu strip lion, braised bacon, baked mac and cheese, fingerling potatoes, mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts and the pan seared ora king salmon in which we all shared and it was out of this world. The flavors, textures, or ingredients were perfectly executed, and the portion size was generous without feeling overwhelming. I couldn’t resist trying the manjari torte to finish off the meal, and I’m so glad we did—it was the perfect sweet ending. The drinks were also top-notch. My friends had the mighty river and the a love supreme and it paired wonderfully with the food. You can really tell that the chefs and staff care about the entire dining experience. Overall, Somerville is a must-visit if you're in the area. The food, service, and ambiance all come together for an unforgettable experience. Can’t wait to return!

    We had a very nice evening at Somerville. The food was okay. We both had a late lunch and weren’t too hungry so we had the chicken sliders, salad, and fingerling potatoes which were the bomb. We wanted to try the Parker house rolls and collard greens lasagna but they were out. We will be back to try more of the menu…when and if we can get a reservation. There were empty tables throughout the evening so the whole only taking reservations shouldn’t be a thing.
