   We sat outdoor, dinning with the best views in Houston. I can’t think for a better place to eat lunch. The service was excellent! We will definitely come back.

   My boyfriend and I went to Sol 7 for our anniversary dinner and everything was wonderful. Our server, Brandon, was so nice and attentive and made sure everything was great. They had live music and it did set a nice tone for the evening. IF YOU ARE A FOODIE, do not come here, if you are looking for a CHILL and RELAXED dinner do come here. Their downsides is definitely the menu, as there is not that many options. My boyfriend ordered the smash burger and I got the grilled chicken and although the food was good, it is nothing extraordinary. So if you are looking for a nice vibe with views, this place is good. Nonetheless, we had a great time, and we will definitely come back and try their breakfast, as it seems they have more options.

   Pros: Beautiful location, friendly staff, spectacular views, tremendous potential. Cons: Too many... Should have taken the previous reviews of Sol 7 seriously. Service is slow, the kitchen seems to run the restaurant here. After perusing the breakfast menu for 15 mins to order, we were promptly told that breakfast service was done and that the kitchen only serves lunch now (reservation was at noon and website advertises brunch over weekends 11-3pm). Cocktails were good, although one of our party received the wrong drink from what was ordered, we got the wrong drink on the house. The food was tasty, although 3 out of the 4 entrees ordered were completely messed up... who gets a burger order wrong? The bill also included a 20% service charge... for a table of 4... let's be clear, this is not a fine dining establishment. Not sure if I am more disappointed by the fact that once again a big hotel group (Hyatt) has no clue to run a restautant and provide that personal touch or the fact the Eater Houston recommended this as a brunch location. Hopefully Toca Madera and Chardon are not riddled by the same service issues. Will not be back.

   The place is on the 7th floor of the Thomson hotel with an amazing views and ambiance. Husband and I went for lunch. We waited 20 plus minutes for our food after the waiter informed us he didn’t put in the order in so we had to wait longer. There was maybe two more tables besides us. Finally when the food arrived everything tasted bland. We ordered some crab finger, lobster roll, ceviche, shrimp and calamari. One of the few places we will not give a second chance unfortunately.

   Great food and service. Went for brunch and enjoyed the chicken and waffles and the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. 10/10

    Very elegant restaurant with a great city views and an upscale aesthetic. The service was excellent, the menu is mid, and the value is overpriced. Great for photo ops or happy hour on a warm day but I wouldn’t go back for another date night.
