   The food was great, good quality seafood and fish, well matched with sauces/salad etc. The setting on the lake was truly divine as the light faded into black and lights reflected of the the smooth surface of the still water. A great experience.

   This was a great fish meal. We had the sodafish set menu selection. The cerviche was especially good. Portions were very good. We sat outside which was a lovely space. The service was a bit haphazard because they were busy, but staff very friendly. Choice of non alcoholic drinks was a bit Spartan but that was the only thing I would have liked to see more choice in.

   Absolutely stunning location and our table had an amazing view over the lake. The food was superb as usual and the staff were attentive, friendly and highly professional. Our whole dining experience was exemplary

   We have eaten at Soda Fish on a few occasions in the past year and found it to be pretty good. However, this visit was disappointing mainly due to the service. No complaints about the food. We chose a set menu with wine pairing. The wine for our first course took about 30 minutes to arrive but the food came about 30 minutes after the wine. Not ideal for pairing. When the first course arrived, it was hurriedly shoved onto the table and the waitress disappeared without any communication with us, ignoring our empty glasses and missing the opportunity to sell us another drink and to explain what we had just been served. The next two courses were a repeat of the first. After the main course we waited for nearly 45 minutes to order dessert, but unfortunately no-one came to take our order or clear the table, so we walked up to the bar paid our bill and left. When paying I had a whinge and was probably a bit rude, but at the time I was pretty disappointed with the experience. A few other tables near us had the similar problems.

   I had the set menu and wasn't disappointed. The ceviche was melt in the mouth and paired beautifully with a local Wyanga sauvignon blanc. The octopus might have been a bit smokier than I anticipated but not in a bad way. Really enjoyed the pink ling and vegetable combination but I'm sure I would have been just as happy with the risotto. Being a Queenslander I delayed eating until as late as I could - I can't stand eating in the sun, and eating before 7.30 (really 6.30) means I'm not hungry and ready to eat - the staff were as attentive to me then as they might have been to early customers. The only disadvantage was that I didn't get the full sunset on view.

    Our hostess was amazing, attentive, and very service oriented with the kitchen short staffed due to illness. Gave comp glass of wine!
