We love the simplicity of seasonal and local ingredients. Modern dining and ancient techniques such as smoking, curing and preserving are at the heart of our restaurant. These aspects motivate us as well as bringing in other global flavours, ingredients, and cuisines. In this way, we try to reflect the diversity and multiculturality of South London and the UK through our food. We are a Catey and Time Out Love London award-winning restaurant with mentions in the Good Food Guide and the esteemed Michelin Guide.

We are pleased to offer one of the cheapest tasting menu experiences in London too - so don't hesitate to book us for your next special occasion.

Guests will be offered our five OR seven course sharing menus only with options available for dietary requirements only.

If no tables are available do give us a call on 07421327556, we may have something extra available!

We go to burger night every time it’s on. A great idea from an already high quality restaurant. Service is flawless. Everyone is a credit to themselves and the business. Burger is genuinely the best I’ve had in London. Care and attention taken to create a fantastic burger, doesn’t really on gimmicks. Only thing I can fault them on is I need their home made bbq sauce to come by the gallon.

Smoke & Salt is a fabulous treat with unique and well judged dishes. It was honestly delicious. The wine pairings always add a little magic but our friend who went her own way on the wine was equally happy. It is a very special restaurant where you are made to feel very welcome

We did arrive with expectations, but they were quickly disattended. The restaurant offers two tasting menus: a 5-course for £59 and a 7-course for £70. We opted for the 5-course. Course 1: Bread and butter. A bold and revolutionary start. Nothing says "fine dining" like something I can find in my own kitchen at 3am. Course 2: "Tempura" kale. A creative interpretation where "tempura" apparently just means "fried." Course 3: Carrots. Just... carrots. Undercooked, but still unmistakably carrots. Course 4: A morsel (and I do mean morsel) of probably guinea fowl, which was actually quite nice, but I’m assuming the rest of the bird was held hostage in the kitchen. Course 5: A chocolate cremeux, the undisputed highlight, possibly because by this point we were quite hungry. To pair with this existential tasting journey, we ordered a bottle of Vola Vole Red Montepulciano, 2022, Italy — which was decanted from a mysterious, label-less bottle, apparently siphoned from an even larger, even more mysterious bottle of “natural” wine, as the waiter explained. Overall, it was a masterclass in culinary pretense, served with a side of disappointment, at a cost of over £200 for two.

Food was delicious and very friendly staff, but service was too quick, I want to be able to finish the bread before the mains come, and felt a bit like they were trying to rush us out asap, not a relaxing meal
