   Smith’s Public House was very good. It was our first time there, and we will return. The spinach & artichoke dip was excellent - a slightly different preparation than you might be used to. Fish and chips and the Tuscan chicken were very good. Next time, we thought we’d try their pizza and burgers.

   The food was good as usual. Service was mixed. - No bread and butter brought to table pre-meal. - Ordered a side salad and entree arrived first. Had to get waiter to remove salad from bill. - Entree service was fast... had our entrees 5 minutes after ordering and restaurant was busy.

   First time. Three of us. We had sandwiches and a burger. Food was good. Ordered an appetizer that never came. We just told the server to take it off the bill but she put the order in and gave us the appetizer at no charge to take home. Was totally not necessary but she insisted because it was on her that she didn’t put the order in. She was very busy, there was a show at the cohoes music hall down the street. Although busy, she was very attentive. Will definitely go back next time we are in the area. We sat at the bar area to watch the Masters but their back room looked very nice. Beautiful fireplace and lots of seating.

   Food was very underwhelming and lacked seasoning. The service and the staff was very friendly and super fast. This was our first time so maybe it was just an off night.
