Arrived at 6:30pm as per our booking only to be barked at by a rude blonde lady behind the bar “no children allowed in” despite the restaurant being full of tables with children. I explained that we had made a reservation for 4 people, she then proceeded to stomp off and reappear telling us to follow her, took us to a table with 3 seats and told us “you have to be out by 8” no explanation or pleasantries. We then spoke to someone else behind the bar who then moved us to a table with 4 seats but by this point we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome we decided to leave.

Nice central venue. Good atmosphere and fairly busy. Service was good and good as expected at Slug and lettuce. Good for an enjoyable lunch near tourist centres.

Really impressed with the food considering it wasn’t expensive, really good Value. We were early so not busy, plenty of seating choices, staff attentive, polite and helpful.

Very slow inattentive and forgetful staff. Very noisy and full of drunks. A place to drink fine, as a place to eat steer clear.

Super friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast options are amazing. I booked for breakfast only to realise the brunch menu now runs until 4 o'clock which is insane. I could have not woken up so early haha

My experience at slug and lettuce was very pleasant, I had the new chicken bao buns and I absolutely loved them that I actually ordered some more. The interior is very pretty and it’s a nice place to have a chilled drink or a bite to eat. I came here with my partner for a date and we were both very satisfied with the portion sizes as well as the waiting time for food to arrive. Staff were helpful in giving me directions to the loo. Can’t fault this place and would recommend dearly. Many thanks.

There was no table service but it wasn't an issue, good prices for food and it was rather nice as well. Will be definitely coming back

No staff , dirty tables even though had reserved a table none where available , had to clear it ourselves. Ordered food at bar as app didn’t work, took 20mins to be served, placed order sat down, 10mins after staff member informed us that they had run out of chicken so we had to order again! No apologies , no refund . When food turned up was luke warm , Dirty cutlery so had to ask for more! Maybe just an off day but i wouldn’t visit again
