   Celebrated Christmas Eve here. Our third time being able to enjoy this fine establishment. Great service, food and people.

   We all very much enjoyed our meal. The calamari appetizer was reminiscent of the spicy RI calamari that we enjoy in New England. My branzino was delicious, my husband enjoyed his perfectly cooked steak and our friends enjoyed their short ribs and cioppino. It was our first time at Skratch Kitchen but it won’t be the last.

   Day and night from what it used to be, now I swear it’s 5 stars…. Absolutely delicious food, I’ll be dining a lot more often, the service it’s attentive and very nice waitresses and waiters , please give it a try

   This was our first experience at Scratch. Got a Saturday reservation week before Christmas at the last moment. Small but well appointed modern interior. While every table was taken the noise level was low allowing for conversation. Menu had enough choices. Would characterize as normal comfort food with recognizable ingredients. Not trying hard to be something exotic. Dishes were prepared well with good presentation. The only constructive criticism I would have would be that the food could have been hotter. Not a big deal but it would be nice to have heated plates. Service was outstanding. Our server hostess and even the owner checked on with us throughout the evening, nice touch. Given the explosion in fine dining pricing, we were pleasantly surprised at Scratch. BYOB definitely a plus. I would say the overall experience was very similar to The Poached Pear in Point Pleasant for a better value. Will definitely work Scratch onto our future plans.

   We had an early reservation, but the place filled up quickly. Sampled 5 or 6 different apps including special of fried oysters served over grits. Table shared an order of short rib ragu with fusilli which was super hearty. Everything was extremely tasty. Service was attentive without being over bearing. Overall a really great evening!

   A second time dining here. Again the overall experience was great. Recommendations - pork chop, bread pudding, shrimp and grits. If they have specials I recommend trying them. The establishment is small and you will need a reservation. Throughout the evening the chef comes out and converses with the patrons. Which is a nice way of getting to know your customers. Overall I recommend dining here.

   Food was AMAZING. Our waitress was just ok. The runner and hostess were wonderful. Love that the chef walks around to every table to ask how everything is. The COD was fabulous
