   Since its relaunch and service of only tasting menus, Six has become one of our very favourite restaurants - which is slightly odd because we usually avoid tasting menus. We had the nine-course menu, the alternatives being a six-course and vegetarian six and nine-course alternatives. One great thing is that, not being oyster-lovers, one can swap out a course that doesn't appeal for a veggie alternative. Service is attentive but without crowding, and friendly rather than stiffly formal, which we like. Every course was a masterpiece in taste and presentation, and we've eaten worse in Michelin-starred places at twice the price. Wine starts at under £30 a bottle, but you can push the boat out and pay far more. So not a cheap place but very good value, and with excellent waiting staff.

   We were absolutely delighted with our experience at Baltic SIX for lunch. The service was wonderful and the food was extremely well presented and delicious.

   My husband and I were visiting Newcastle from Aberdeen and were lucky enough to reserve a table here last minute on the Saturday night. The restaurant is beautiful with an amazing view of the city, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was outstanding. Excellent value for money for the quality of the food and overall experience.

   Fabulous restaurant in the Baltic over looking the Tyne,with great views. We had the six course tasting menu,could not fault it at all,so many flavours,wonderfully presented,served by a very welcoming and informative waitress. It was my first visit and and certainly won’t be my last,enjoyed every minute.

   Food was lovely. I'm not a vegetarian but I had the veggie option from the set lunch menu and it was superb. Very expensive for what is was but it was a very enjoyable lunch, none the less.

    Fantastic experience from start to finish. Had 6 course tasting menu which difficult to choose a favourite as every course was a delight. Service was also exceptional, thank you Ben. Will definitely return soon.
