Small newly opened bistro with art deco decor and delicious food. We were initially seated directly in front of the band (3 piece) and because it was way too loud to have a conversation, staff were able to move us away from the band, albeit to a small circular table. The music was nice, just too loud. Since the table was small for 3 people, it was logistically a little difficult to manage the dinner plates/glasses, etc, but we managed OK. The popovers appetizers were hot and accompanied by some yummy sweetened butter. Everyone was happy with their entrees, excepting the crispy fries which we all agreed were too thin and crispy. Chicken in a restaurant is difficult to do right, but my Chicken Mirabella was delicious and cooked perfectly. All servings were with fresh ingredients and nice presentations, Staff were friendly; service average. Saturday night was very busy. I like that folks were also eating at the bar as an option. I would definitely return and hope that they are able to expand their menu for more choices.

Cocktails were unique and delicious. Sailor, the bar manager, was generous with info on ingredients and with her pours. Small plates were all yummy especially the blue cheese with fig crostini. The updated take on Chicken Marbella was spot on. Our companions raved about the duck entree. The jazz musicians provided just enough sound not to be intrusive yet provided lots of energy. Will definitely go back soon.

Whenever a "reservation" style restaurant opens in the exurbs, there are always high hopes - however they seldom meet expectations. Fortunately that is NOT the case with Silver Girl! To start, the completely renovated interior is so inviting. Its sharp and sophisticated with contemporary colors, accents and low lighting that sets the mood. The wide open, large bar/island in the center serves as a stage for the bartenders. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the show. The whole room exhudes warmth and calmness. I'm trying to remember the former Savory Lane shrine to Bruce Springsteen but alas there are no remanants whatsoever. The food is creative, tasty and well-prepared. The chef, Dawn (Eve) hails from Louisiana and there are many nods to their food tradition, although subtle. The popovers with compound butter and carmelized onion was a nice way to start the meal. I also got a single crostini ($3) with tasso and something zingy. So fresh, crispy and on-point. The duck cassoulet reminded me of the first time I ever had this dish in New Orleans at Broussard's. The duck was perfect!!! The cornmeal crust was consistently crispy and void of overly fatty skin. The beans were hearty and a perfect balance to the rich duck. An excellent dish, Cocktails and mocktails were complex and innovative. Service is well-above the usual exurbs level. This is a tight group of bartenders, servers and hosts that work hard but remain calm and warm. They are dialing it in. Off to a good start. Keep it up. "See how they shine."

Nice addition to Acton . Cocktails and food were very good. Loved the popover. Service was only issue-waited a while for someone to take our order. Very slow to make our drinks. Wait person forgot multiple things we ordered/asked for, and she needed reminding. Not the best experience with our waitress.

Cynthia, thank you so much for your honest feedback. We experienced some growing pains this weekend, both in service and in the kitchen, and I'm so very sorry that we made your night out less enjoyable than it should have been. I do hope that you'll give us another chance. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your next visit right. Sincerely, Dawn (Eve)

I wish I could rate this place higher than 5 stars! Acton really needs a place like this. My husband and I went for a date night for my birthday and it was absolutely exceptional. I’m a vegan and it’s rare to find a vegan option in the menu, let alone one with flavors and textures that are carefully thought out and crafted. We also don’t drink, and the mocktails were out of this world - also so hard to find those and we were so happy! The ambiance makes you feel like you are at an upscale place in the city, without the 45 min drive! It’s cozy, modern and clean.

Happy birthday!! Thank you for spending it with us and we're so glad you enjoyed it! We're pretty proud of our vegan options, especially that polenta. We hope to see you again soon!

A great dining experience. We enjoyed every moment, from the beautifully crafted drinks, light starters, dinner (the duck was the winner for the night!), to the delicious panna cotta to end our meal. We are excited to have this local date night spot in town. Well done, ladies!
