   Made a reservation for 5:30pm for 4 people. Was contacted the afternoon of the reservation that they had booked another table right behind us at 7:15 and asked if that would be a problem. Asking us to rush our evening because they had too many reservations, even mentioned it again when being sat at the table. For being in such a rush to turn the table the service was slow and not very attentive. Would have ordered more drinks if our server didn’t disappear. If you want to rush your customers out the door, perhaps have some more attentive staff. The food was good, but not worth the lack of service to come back.

   I was reminded multiple times that someone else had my table after and we had to be gone at a certain time. By the girl that sat us down. I was called before we showed up and then told before i was seated. The food was meh. The server didn’t come by for 45 mins.. we had to ask another server for our bill at which point the server came back and said nothing just took our payment. Its disappointing because the restaurant is so nice but the staff dont make it a great environment..

   Natalie was an excellent server, the head Chef Will's Birria tacos special was fantastic and Jacky's cocktail and mocktail creations were phenomenal. Thanks Sidebar for another memorable evening!

   Table of 4. Calamari was good, but super small and not really shareable. Spinach & artichoke was all spinach, no artichoke, and very tasteless. For our mains, Sirloin and zero seasoning and creole prawns tasted like they were basted in butter. No creole flavouring whatsoever. Same with the blackened shrimp tacos and the blackened chicken dinner, zero seasoning. Potato and lentil cakes were significantly overcooked. As foodies who love to try out new restaurants, this is one we won't visit again. Our server was inattentive, did not know the menu well, and very curt and impatient when we did have her at our table. We noted on our reso it was a birthday as well as mentioned it several times, and it was not acknowledged at all.

   Waste of time. It's a neat room and I think the owners would like to make it upbeat, however the food is lackluster and the service is non-existent. What a shame. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.

   We had plans with friends and wanted to try something new and Side Bar got decent reviews. We had reservations and were seated pretty quickly. We ordered drinks and appetizers within 10ish mins of sitting down. We got our drinks and appies and then ordered our mains. The food was “okay” and had decent portions and the service was great … until the last half hour. After we finished our meals, all of a sudden three different people showed up at different times and abruptly clearing our dishes. They would walk up while we’re in mid-conversation and just start leaning over the table and aggressively removing the dishes. The server didn’t ask if we wanted anything else she came up and said “Just the bill then??” I replied, “No, I would like a glass of wine” and my husband ordered an Americano. A couple of mins later the drinks came and a different server brought the coffee. As she went to place the coffee from the tray to the table, she put her fingers all around the rim of the cup!! It was gross. My husband waived it off but I was totally turned off. Before we were even done our wine and coffee, the server showed up with the bill. Usually, one would wait until you’re finished everything. We were there on a Saturday night, and while there were empty tables around us, we felt so rushed and pressured to leave. It’s too bad, the night started out great and then ended on a poor note.

    We had a very hard time getting reservations Once we got there there were like five tables near us empty
