Open for indoor and outdoor dining and curbside takeout. Outdoors dining is subject to the weather. We have heaters but not for all tables. Please dress warmly. If there is a chance of rain we will have to cancel.

Shiro has been named the Zagat Guide's number one restaurant and is consistently one of the highest rated establishments in the guide (#5 in 2011; #2 for service in 2013). Shiro is summed up by it's ingredients. Menu items are driven by the best available, nothing less is acceptable. For over 35 years, diners have enjoyed our French and Pacific Rim inspired menu. A tradition of fine dining with excellent, friendly service. We may supplement our menu with a special Taste of Shiro (soup or salad, meat or fish, dessert). Wed/Th. The evening's menu is posted around 3pm.

As much as we love them, we must ask that your dogs and other pets stay home. Service dogs, of course, are welcome.

We have been coming to Shiro's for many years and, once again, they reminded us why this is our favorite "special occasion" restaurant. The food is always excellent -- tasty and beautifully presented. Last night we enjoyed 2 favorites, the salmon tartar tacos and the catfish. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely including the soft jazz piano playing on the sound system.

This restaurant is wonderful! The food is consistently delicious, service outstanding, don't miss this! Good value for the high quality of the food. Seafood is always fresh.

Food was excellent and the menu inventive. Atmosphere was quite, which we appreciated because we were catching up with friends and could easily hear eachh other. Service was attentive but not invasive. The manager stopped at our table for a brief chat which was nice. Would highly recommend Shiro for a quiet, evening with excellent food.

Had a delicious dinner last night at Shiro in South Pasadena. Our first time there. Had heard about it for years and it was better than anticipated. So many new places have opened but the menu here is still so unique and tasty. W 'll be back! Thanks for the wonferful service and cuisine. Janet Borrus

Shiro is absolutely the best restaurant in South Pasadena and one of the finest in the Los Angeles area. The food is sublime, refined and delicious. The ambiance is charming, well lit and active without being too noisy. Excellent wait staff are extremely attentive without hovering. Fantastic dining experience to celebrate the finer things in life.

Our server, Jesse, was superb. My Jon Dory was perfect. My Asian date knows fish. She said her Chilean Sea Bass was old, as in not fresh, and a bit overcooked. I didn't want to make a scene but my dog just ate the most expensive fish she has ever had. Jesse made us fabulous cocktails. Overpriced but good.

Fantastic experience! Went out for date night with my wife. We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated right away. The service was attentive, food and drinks were amazing, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We'll definitely be returning.
