    Thursdays from 8PM - 11PM Sempre Oggi welcomes David Kastin, who has been a DJ in New York for over 30 years, for a curated set from his personal record collection. I bought my first record in 1975. It was Aerosmith’s debut album. Ever since then I have had a love affair with vinyl. It all started with early 70’s rock, then into the late 70’s I was collecting disco ala Studio 54. Next was punk/post punk new wave and my collection grew significantly. In the late 80’s I discovered an old school NYC dance party DJed by none other than David Mancuso called The Loft and it changed my life. The Loft exposed me to so much music, one could hear almost anything from disco to funk, soul, house and rock and post punk it was so eclectic and inspiring

    We had the $45 Restaurant Week menu, which felt compromised. Chicken liver mousse was minuscule served with raw vegetables for some reason. Beet salad was fine but both needed salt and pepper. Fish stew did not taste fresh. Beef with polenta lacked flavor and the meat was not luscious. The waiter was very kind and attentive and brought us two extra desserts since he could tell we’d been let down by our meal. Biscotti and tiramisu and gelato were actually quite good. Maybe the regular menu is superior. But overall, the restaurant has a corporate feel. I will commend the waitstaff who were first rate.

    The food was delicious. The service staff exceptional. Decor-wise, it is fashionable and practical with well spaced tables. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It's nice to have a great restaurant in the neighborhood

    The food offered for the Restaurant Week menu was simply outstanding. The Brodetto di Pesce and the Brasato All Genovese were both perfectly prepared and delicious. The Tiramisu was classic, light and rich all at the same time, and was the best I’ve ever had…and that includes countless times I’ve ordered it in Italy.

    Everything was ok except the lady who took our order got confused and brought the wrong food for me. Otherwise she was attentive to my GF needs

    Nice restaurant. Badly needed civilized spot on UWS. Pricey but so is everywhere. Excellent, friendly service, very good food, not too noisy. The latter phenomenon is almost impossible to find around here so i hope they thrive. Will return.

    I just had a delicious meal at Sempre Oggi! I started with a mixed green salad then had the delicious halibut. I had two glasses of tasty white wine. My server Michael was perfect in every way. And if all of that isn't enough, the restaurant is quiet!
