Selene Aegean Bistro is the newest venture from the family that brought you the Michelin guide recommended Nammos Estiatorio.
“We're incredibly excited to introduce Selene to the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood,” said Yianni Kerasiotis, co-owner of Selene. “Our vision is to create a unique, elevated dining experience for this city. Selene will be Greek cuisine with an exciting blend of culinary influences from all across the Aegean coast."
Selene's menu features locally sourced seafood and dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Aegean region, with many exciting twists. Guests are encouraged to order a range of dishes from our extensive menu selection, which are best shared family-style. In addition to the sophisticated fare, Selene will boast a curated beverage program, highlighting handcrafted cocktail, and Greek, Spanish and local wines.

Honestly, TikTok gave it too much hype. Sure the interior is nice and our service was great, but the food is wayyyyyy to overpriced We had 4 appetizers and 2 drinks and it came to $130! The only good appetizers we had was the bread, the saganaki and the calamari. The mushrooms were very disappointing

I wanted to try Selene after seeing it online and wasn’t sure what to expect (hoping it wouldn’t be overhyped). well, everything was incredible: from the food, to the service, to the ambiance, this was one of the best meals I’ve had in Vancouver in a while, and definitely one of the best Greek restaurants in the city. I was so impressed considering it hasn’t been open that long! Will definitely be back and can’t wait to try more of their dishes.

The kalamari, mussels, houmous and feta stuffed olives were all delicious. I genuinely am still thinking about the food. Great price, lovely staff, amazing interior

Amazing food and ambiance! I really loved this place! And definitely will be going back. I am not surprised that it’s quite busy and hard to get reservations. The food was absolutely great and delicious. Portions are very good sized as well. The lamb is the best!

Finally, after 25 years of waiting, a cool, creative, interesting, and above all terrific restaurant has opened up in our Hastings/Sunrise neighbourhood. I've always thought Greek food was usually pretty solid, but often predictable. This, however, is the new wave of Greek food. Thoughtful, intelligent, inspired dishes that had our whole table talking throughout the meal. Now mind you, we went with the 5 course/10 dish tasting menu, which is often the best and most fun option in restaurants who offer it, so I can't speak for anyone who just orders a dish or two off the menu. The value we got for $80 a person was amazing. We were all happily stuffed. The ambience is smart and inviting, and the service was very attentive. We'll be coming back regularly, and we don't go hardly anywhere regularly, so that's saying something. Cheers, Brad
