    The food and service was great as always. The only downside continues to be the automatic 20% service charge that the restaurant keeps for themselves (100%), while apparently expecting you to pay an additional tip to the server. This practice is unfair to the patrons (who feel compelled to tip) and/or the servers who likely receive less in tips, since many will not want to pay 40% more on an already expensive dinner.

    The food was excellent except the crudo. The crudo did not taste fresh and the flavors were missing. We had awesome oysters, an incredible blue cheese salad and Our Hawaiian fish was absolutely amazing. Despite a busy New Year’s Eve- we were seated with a reasonable wait. The bus service was fantastic. The lack of gratuity due to the service charge seemed to lead to service that was perfunctory but bland. We would come here again- the food made it very worthwhile

    We do a lot of celebrations here because you can always count on great food and great service. Special "shout out" to Pedro our waiter! He helped make our meal thoroughly enjoyable!

    We love the seafood selection at Seastar. Service was perfect…we didn’t feel rushed at all. Less than 5 stars for value, because although we had an excellent experience, prices seem quite high.

    The oysters ( Kumamoto) were very good, the hot and sour soup was great, the Chilean seabass was great and we ordered some rice with thai style red curry which was excellent. My daughter ordered Opakapaka and she said it was very good too. a nice bottle of a sommelier recommended Sauvignon Blanc completed the circle for an outstanding dining experience.

    Best sashimi I've had in a wile. Great oysters. Great wine list. And extensive non-seafood menu as well. Will please everyone. Great place to impress for business or a formal date. Its not "cozy" but very classy and will impress. Large enough for family or business dinners. It's pricey, but worth it. So glad we ate here.
