   It was nice that we had a booth and restaurant was not too noisy. However there was a stain on the back of the booth seat, and a tear/hole on the material in the booth . One of the bar stools was well worn and looking like it was ready for the dump. The half wall beside our booth was dirty... water/liquid stains on the wall, along the bottom was dirty with what was probably mop water? Not enough attention to detail . My husband used the washroom and said it was not clean. Food was ok, but when you're paying $23 for a pizza you would expect it to be 5 star. The wood fired pizza was runny/mushy in the centre and the dough was not cooked through. The other order was placed wrong and had to wait for the correct order. I don't feel that we will eat there again.

   Really good servers. Took care of us and was attentive throughout. I like the ambience. I ordered the pulled pork mac and cheese and a Caesar. The Caesar was good. The pulled pork mac and cheese was underwhelming. It sounded good, but the ratio of pulled pork to mac and cheese was way off! There was hardly any pulled pork in the dish and the dish was a disappointment for this reason. I think it could be a winner if there was a good helping of pork to mix into the mac and cheese. I’d suggest 1/4 pulled pork to 3/4 mac and cheese. The two small onion rings are a nice garnish, but it wasn’t enough to save this dish. As its currently presented, I can’t recommend this dish to anyone planning to dine at the Sawmill in the future.

   Food and service are always good here - a great place to meet a friend for a 'chatty lunch' - never feel rushed.

   We were seated promptly- booths are very roomy and comfortable-we enjoyed a fry bread starter, fish tacos and two different pizzas- the service was attentive. The bar menu is extensive with many choices for draft beer. I would recommend the Sawmill Tap!

   Honestly we ve had terrible food and service the last few times we’ve been in. This was visit was great! The food and service were great!

    I frequently go to SawMill Tap house. I’m a local resident from Nanaimo. My boyfriend and I were going to the theatre last night and decided to make a reservation for dinner before the show. It was supposed to be yo be a fabulous night out! Firstly, I had reserved a Standard table not a Hight top. First thing, we were sat at a high top. Went to order 3 different wines on their menu and they were out. The Manager came to speak to us because our fabulous server was embarrassed at this point why they even have this choice on the menu when you dont have it. As our food was getting served we still did not have any wine at this point. The Manager was the worst supervisor I have ever encountered with. She was not budging or willing to work with us for a price difference on a bottle of wine that we wanted. She was absolutely terrible to deal with. Too bad, I will never go back:( Merry Christmas Everyone!
