Sangiovese Ristorante was founded in 1994 bringing authentic Italian to Indianapolis' North Side. Chris Evans, Owner/Operator of Sangiovese, has maintained dedication to his loyal clientele by providing the highest quality ingredients and impeccable service. We love Sangiovese. Typically the service is stellar but last night it was really off. It was spotty and not the normal smooth dinner. The two tables by us both turned twice while we were dining. And, we were asked three times if we wanted boxes but nobody followed thru until finally our server came back. We had to flag him down to get another bottle of wine. The bread wasn't refreshed until we waved him down and asked. Nothing horrible but just not what we expect from one of our favorite restaurants.

Perfect evening! Our server Sandra was personable and attentive and made sure that we were completely taken care of. The food is my favorite Italian in the city and we love the ambiance!

We always love eating at Sangiovese. It's become a Christmas tradition to eat there with our family before the holidays. The food is soooo good and the service is wonderful.
