Sangiovese Ristorante was founded in 1994 bringing authentic Italian to Indianapolis' North Side. Chris Evans, Owner/Operator of Sangiovese, has maintained dedication to his loyal clientele by providing the highest quality ingredients and impeccable service. Sangiovese works toward letting guests sit back and enjoy a great bowl of pasta with a nice glass of Vino!

The food was lovely. The service was… nonexistent. We asked for butter three times before getting it. One drink came quickly and the other followed about 8 minutes later, although it was ordered at the same time. No one checked in with us. We got food delivered by other servers and we ordered desert from an entirely different server. Felt like a group project with no leader.

Kennedy was so sweet taking care of us! The restaurant had a Happy Birthday card up for my mom’s 60th birthday and then brought out a cannoli for dessert with a candle. All the food was amazing!

We only needed to stop come in town quick but decided to book dinner anyway because we are always so well taken care of at Sangiovese at Ironworks. To our delight we had our server from last time - Andrew - and he remembered us. It really is those small touches that keep us coming back. We talked on the way home how we would rather have this meal once in awhile as a treat that eat out every day. This truly is our favorite place we have eaten together. The best food and drink. And service. Thank you for making each visit one that we remember. We can’t wait to come back again!
