We love Sandfish - the food is creative and delicious, the service is on-point and friendly, and the cocktails are great too. Can’t go wrong. We took friends and they loved it too.

Here just some basic thoughts: Unfortunately it was a mixed bag. The pacing was bad. Hot food came out first instead of sushi and nigiri. The server was HIGH as ****. She was getting worse and weirder as the night went on. The sushi rolls were delicious. Especially the Experiment. The nigiri was just ok and expensive. The bok choy & broccolini absolutely is amazing. The hot stone was bad! Tough and weird tasting. Was praying I didn't get sick. Salads, meh Cocktails🔥🔥. Spot on!! I really want to like this place because I bought a house literally on the same block. I'd go back for the sushi rolls, the broccolini and the cocktails. Hopefully things work out better the next time.

We loved it! The only thing is it got down to 68 (we sat by a thermometer). If you didn’t bring a jacket you would have been freezing!

The rolls are very eclectic and delicious though not fish forward. The Koko roll was very unique and we all enjoyed it! The sandfish roll was our favorite with spicy tuna and crispy potato strings. The ube cake was also really delicious! We will definitely be back

Beautiful patio. Missed out on that and sat at the bar. Bartender was prompt and attentive. Service was good. Wife ordered a red wine and was given a glass of yellowtail. Like the $4 a bottle grocery store yellowtail. I know it’s a whiskey bar, but Trader Joe’s offers better stuff than that. Ordered the edamame, which was fine, and the crab crispy rice. Both were ok. Crab rice was $16 for two pieces on happy hour. A lot of crab over the two pieces, which is great, but the crab lacked flavor. Also, could’ve easily spread the crab over two to three more pieces of rice to add perceived value. I actually ordered 2 more pieces of just the rice at a charge, and we chose to get entrees elsewhere. Overall, I gave a 3. We will return to experience the patio and explore the menu more.

Sandfish Sushi and Whiskey is a fantastic gem with a neighborhood feel. It's the best combination of elite sushi with an easy and accommodating atmosphere. Service is excellent, servers are happy and the chef's are top-notch. The Sandfish Sashimi is remarkable, the chef finds the herbs and dressings at the local farmers market, so the nuance of flavors is always a new experience.
