   We had a very pleasant time and a great meal. Both my wife thought our meals looked and tased great. The server Kelly J. Could not have beeen nicer. I had a sirloin steak and grilled shrimp with a baked potato. My wife had the pork ribs and grilled shrimp with their flash fried green beans. Everything was done perfectly and tasted great. I had one of their special margaritas with silver patron and it was also terrific. It was Saturday night and we did have a loud group close to us- it took a little something away from us but they were having a good time with a larger group. Saltgrass had been recommended by friends who said it was consistently good for them. Anything that is consistently good is a rare find in South Lake Tahoe!

   We had reservations at 6:30. Drinks came at 7. Food came at 8:0!!! And that was after we watched at least 7 tables of people who arrived after us get served. Four tables ate, paid, and left before we got our food. The waitress offered us another round of drinks—which we assumed were comped. They were not. We gave the credit card to pay and the bill returned without a pen. We sat and waited for 10 minutes before we finally went to the hostess stand to ask for a manager. He comped our more expensive dinner, which we appreciated. But what a horrible experience!

   Servicer wasn’t that friendly seemed irritated for no reason. We were celebrating our five year anniversary and definitely put a damper on that.

   The menu is pretty basic but very good. Steaks were cooked perfectly and our server was great. Also very good prices.

   I believe this is a newly opened location, service was great, food is always good. I enjoy Saltgrass, good food at reasonable prices.

   Run of the mill, uninspired “Texas” decor. Middle of the road steakhouse menu, no real creativity there, but the food was good. Service was good and staff was friendly. I might go back and I might not.

    Came here on Saturday with a reservation at 6:45 PM. The food is outstanding, and the table staff are on point! This place is kid friendly, and is a very Texas themed steakhouse. The steaks do not need to hide behind a coating of butter, and all of the items ordered were cooked as requested. The only downside, which I somewhat understand due to how busy it was - the front of house staff were barely treading water between the walk-ins and the reservations. I checked in at the desk, and they marked me as on-site, ready to be seated. About 8 minutes later, I got a message that our table was ready via OpenTable. 11 minutes later we asked about our reservation and were seated, with them pulling an Uno Reverse “should have let us know you were here!” Not a big deal, just be ready to ask to be seated. All staff were still very kind. Highly recommend!
