The host was very unprofessional - there were 2 hosts and a manager standing at the checkin desk and they were gossiping about a host they hired. This was being discussed while my party was waiting to be checked in. Otherwise, the food and the server was great.

The food was delicious, but the service was disappointing. Our server and waitstaff were very friendly, but they were not particularly attentive, and had a lack of attention to detail. People who had sparkling water had their drink refilled with still water, the kitchen forgot some of our order and the waiter didn't notice, offering us dessert when we still hadn't received some of our entrees. They would clear all our plates and utensils, but not properly refresh them, so when sushi rolls came out, we had no chopsticks, only forks. There were only four of us, and we ordered all our food at once, yet it took almost three hours to complete our dining experience and we didn't even order dessert. My review remains high because the food was incredibly good, and the waitstaff was kind, but I would hesitate before going again because for the price, I expect better service. I do think it's worth going once though simply for the dishes.

Good food, nice ambiance, horrible service which kind of turned the entire experience sour.

10/10 experience the staff is engaging and they’re well versed in the knowledge of Sake. They definitely brought a little bit of Japan culture to NYC.

Absolutely phenomenal. From arrival the hospitality and attentiveness of the staff was outstanding. Matt our server was extremely friendly and made the experience approachable on a busy Saturday night. Chef Alec and his food is outstanding, from presentation, execution, flavor and creativity. Would come back again and again.

Overall Sake No Hana was great but the food portion for apps was disappointing. My friend ordered a chicken skewer and it was only one… which came after her entrée. The Apps came out really late and everyone was eating their entree except for two of my guest. I just didn’t like the fact that they served the food so late. The drinks were pretty good.

We waited 40 minutes for our table of 3. The hostess kept telling is “2-3 minutes”… i don’t think it was appropriate for me to pay a $25 deposit per person when we had to wait so long for our reserved table. Appetizers were amazing. I was disappointed with the entrees we had the salmon and fillet mignon, very salty. We felt like our server was rushing us the whole time, it got very irritating after a while. I hate that we made it aware in the reservation and to the server that it was my birthday and I wasn’t treated as such. The place has great potential but possibly lacking in some areas
