About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Good for groups
  • Lively
Rumi's Kitchen first opened more than a decade ago in Atlanta, the result of years of development by Chef / Owner Ali Mesghali. Showcasing the flavors of Iran -- fresh herbs, kabobs cooked over an open-fire grill -- quickly won loyal guests at the original location in Sandy Springs, GA and set us on pace to open our first restaurant outside of Georgia in 2020. Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet whose words and life teach us how to find inner peace, happiness and love. We invite you to Rumi’s Kitchen where fresh, healthy food and attentive Persian hospitality await you.

Had a good time in this restaurant. The food was very good. The drinks were strong! Though the price was a bit high they gave you very large portions of food. I would definitely come again.

Food was excellent as always. The service was good but a little slow due to it being Mother's Day. Good a while to get our drinks, otherwise our server was excellent.

One of the very best in Persian cuisine! Our table service and the service at the bar (where we had a drink while we were waiting for our table) were excellent. This was our third time there over 18 months or so and the levels were consistently superior.

I don’t write negative reviews often, and this is my first one about a restaurant. This was my second time here because the first visit was absolutely amazing. I took my mom this time for an early Mother’s Day celebration, and I was incredibly let down. The service was horrible. We barely saw our server and were constantly ignored. Our water was not refilled, only until the very end when we had already paid and were ready to leave (??!!). And when she refilled the water, she almost knocked over the glass and got her clothes in our food. There were more instances/examples. We felt like we were not welcome to dine here. The food itself was amazing. But due to the bad service, my family, friends, and myself will never be returning.

Delicious food and great, prompt service on a Saturday night when the place was packed. All signs of good management. Will definitely come back whenever we happen to be in the area!

We took our friends visiting from Chicago and we enjoyed our dinner and service. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our servers were very friendly and attentive. The wings app is lick your fingers delish! Also the cardamom cake was perfect end to our dinner.
