   Wow what an experience, we had the set menu and could not fault anything nor could we pick a favourite dish as every dish was outstanding. Beautifully executed food with flavour off the richter scale. Loved the funky atmosphere and awesome crew, the staff had great personalities and passion for food and good service. Can’t wait to go back. Ruki is definitely bringing something different and delicious to Wollongong and is so needed. Highly recommend!!!

   Every dish we had hit the mark! The raw and grill menu is by far unbelievable and the basque cheesecake was the perfect end to the night

   Overall an extremely enjoyable experience. We had both entrees and mains and they were all beautiful. A really good wine list to choose from with very reasonably priced beers and cocktails. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you like modern Japanese food.

   Unfortunately tapas style was not what we expected for a Japanese venue. Too many additives to the sushimi did not enhance it. The cauliflower was nice but complicated with lots of sauce and overly burnt ( by torch I assume.). The rice came at the end, a little late.

   Beef tartare, salmon tacos, chicken, salmon, and pork skewers… all yum!!! Great service, great location. Only complaint is the lighting could be much softer. A bit too bright and harsh. Food and service was excellent and I’m sure ambiance will only improve in time. Will be back!

    Food was tasty, beautifully cooked. Unfortunately it all came out at different times and order of food was not congruent. Eg, rice was delivered at the end of meal. Drinks were over priced, especially wine by the glass. Our table was far too small. Not enough room for plates and glasses and share plates. Table service was poor, our plates and glasses were not cleared and we felt ignored. There were too many customers, it felt very claustrophobic and the music choices were fine, but way too loud. Hopefully this feedback is constructive.
