   I love that they have a keto menu, but I wish it actually had a carb count on it. The scallops appetizer was delicious, as were the keto tenderloin tacos that I had as my main. My son ordered the asian seared tuna which he said was very good and it came with a nice side of roasted vegetables. Our server, Jose, was fantastic. Everything was timed perfectly and he checked back often enough to be great, but not too often to be an annoyance. He just knew.

   Absolutely love this restaurant, highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal. Been multiple times and always leave wanting to come back to try more dishes. The menu is health conscious with a huge variety. Ordered based off of our server Jose recommendations and he was spot on. Dessert is to die for, especially the cheesecake which my husband claims is his favorite ever! You won’t be disappointed. Something for everyone.

   Awesome experience at Ruggles Black. Brought two out-of-state (and well-traveled) quests for a meeting with two Texas clients and they all remarked that Ruggles Black is truly a special restaurant and they will definitely be back to Ruggles Black when they are back in Houston. Everything was superb--from the fried calamari and fried oyster appetizers to the redfish, snapper, tuna, and spinach chicken entrees to the tres leches and cream brûlée desserts. Great coffees too. Can't recommend enough. This great restaurant was a perfect setting for a highly successful meeting. Truly unmatched, in the words of my clients.

   We wanted to order everything that’s how appealing the items on the menu are. We ended up ordering the same item: fish & chips and we were not disappointed. Gabriel was great in checking on our special needs and was very attentive and kind. Looking forward to returning . Lov this place and when the weather is perfect, the patio is a beautiful gateway oasis.

   We had a wonderful late lunch w a group of four. The owner even came by and chatted w us! The food was out quickly and served hot! The wait service was on pointe without being intrusive. And the desserts were a masterpiece!

   The waiter was spotty. She didn't come to our table until 20 minutes after seated. Once the food came out she didn't return. We had to flag down another waiter who packed up our food and then our waitress showed up with the check.

    The food at Ruggles Black is always delicious and there’s something for everyone- gluten-free, vegan, keto-friendly- and it’s just really tasty, healthy food. Plus we could have a conversation without yelling! Cocktails are awesome, too!
