   Another great evening at Rue. Celebrated our anniversary with the tasting menu + wine parings at the bar. Drinks, food and service were exceptional! Well worth the trip from the beach.

   We appreciated that the manager was able to move us to an indoor table—it was a thoughtful gesture on such a hot day. The service was excellent; our server was attentive and knowledgeable, especially about the wine list. The lady who kept our water glasses filled was especially sweet and attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet expectations. The fried appetizer was runny in the middle, the fish was undercooked, and overall, the dishes lacked flavor. The dessert selection also felt uninspired and could be more appealing. While the space was clean, the atmosphere didn’t evoke the charm or character of a French restaurant. Overall, we’re unlikely to return.

   It was my birthday. We ordered the chefs tasting menu and were not disappointed. Delicious food. Presentation was beautiful also. We loved the wine pairings. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. This is now my go to place to eat in Jacksonville. We had a wonderful time.

   My second time here, I took my mother for her 75th birthday, and the staff didn't skip a beat, they immediately said happy 75th birthday! This was echoed several times, but by multiple staff!! Not just our server (Megan was excellent btw). Juliettee was extremely sweet and professional! The food really doesn't need any further review, it was all mouth watering, as it was my first time!

   We had dinner in the renovated outdoor seating. Really great addition to the dining experience. Food, wine, and service were great as always.

   Every time I eat at Rue I wonder why I eat anywhere else. There may (and I emphasize may) be somewhere that the service is better or the food tastier or the ambience more cordial and relaxing, but nowhere that has all of those things. The only reason this delightful eatery does not have a Michelin star is that they have not been there yet. One taste of Gabby's interpretation of classic cocktails or plate of Scott's imaginative choices and pairings and the stars should be rolling out of the bag. But regardless of what any critic says, I know what my taste buds say, no SHOUT, every time: "You have never enjoyed a meal or experience regardless of location, milieu or cost more than you did tonight!" Thank you Rue for another entry in the diary of wonderful experiences.

   From the moment we walked in the door, we felt taken care of. Beautiful decor with a classy and contemporary feel. Excellent service and food to match!! We will be back to try the tasting menu!
