   I booked Roman Wolves two weeks ago for a party of five since my family was flying in for Christmas. We notified the hostess we were there 20 mins prior to reservation start in hopes of securing a table at the scheduled start time. My party fully arrived five mins til and the hostess says it’ll be another 15 mins. My mother has mobility issues and we requested a chair so she could wait. When they finally seat us it’s at the very end of the patio area outside and my mother had trouble navigating to the end of the section since there were dozens of tables scattered through a narrow passage. The table was a four top and they threw a chair at the end. No set up for five. No five menus or five water glasses. I head inside to use the restroom and see a booth for six right by the entrance where we were waiting. Why wasn’t this offered instead of the four top at the end of nowhere? I’m not one to pick an argument especially on Christmas but cmon. A reservation was made well in advance and provided plenty of opportunity to get it right. I had hopes for the food but they truly lowered the bar. The arugula salad was literally 1oz of dressing, 12 oz of arugula and four tomatoes. The flatbread was cold. The cacio e pepe sauce was watery and wouldn’t cling to the pasta. The Caesar salad was Midwest regional airport quality. The only good thing were the drinks but at the price point, wasn’t worth getting a second. We are from DC and are more than happy to pay $20-30 for good cocktails but these missed the mark. The server was friendly and excellent. He was the only other good thing about the experience but it wasn’t enough to remedy the rest of the mess. Will absolutely not return and do not recommend.

   I took my boyfriend for his birthday 🎂. My daughter had recommended this place. Everything was really lovely. They seated us right away, food was delicious, service was amazing. My only complaint was where our table was. I made the reservation with the note it was a bday celebration. I was hoping to be seated in the restaurant. Unfortunately our little two top was in the bar area. We were stuck between a 6 top and a 5 top. Not as quiet and romantic as I had hoped for. Still a 4.5 star experience. I will be back.

   Amazing food. Highly recommend the cheese wheel pasta. It’s very rich, so share it with someone. Everything we had was fantastic. We will be back in the next couple of weeks.

   Great service! Apps were delicious. We ordered the cheese wheel pasta and there wasn’t any cheese left in the wheel. Still tasted pretty good but they shouldn’t offer a cheese wheel pasta if they are out of cheese.

   Great food and friendly service. They were able to accommodate the birthday request for my hubby nicely with an awesome firework display over a yummy pumpkin cheesecake 🍰
