   We had a 730pm required reservation dinner on a Monday. Wr put in our order immediately and were asked about what appetizer, entree and dessert we wanted all at the same time, which would be fine under normal circumstances. We waited over 20 mins for our drinks and another hour for our appetizer of deep fried, low grade, “cauliflower bites.” Our entrees which consisted of a $45 12 oz NY strip and ~$30 crab Mac and cheese was absolutely flavorless. The strip was ordered medium and had been brutally overcooked to gray leather, it wasn’t even edible. The Mac and cheese was microwaved and also quite flavorless. As we waited an hour and 20 mins for our food, we did ask for refills on our drinks, however, my husband went and got them for us because the wait was so painfully long. We were informed that their refrigerators had lost power long enough for their ice cream to be thrown away, which made me really concerned about the Mac and cheese I ate, as it was clearly a premade situation. The staff largely just wandered aimlessly with the exception of the 2 working the outdoor space. Our waiter was friendly enough but was obviously new and/or out of his depth. We’ve eaten at so many restaurants of various grade and this is by and large the worst experience I’ve ever had. Do not waste your time or money at this restaurant.

   My husband and I ate outside on a beautiful evening at Rock House Restaurant. Unfortunately there was a wedding reception going on at the same time elsewhere at the lodge. Dj seemed to turn up the volume on the energetic songs so much we had trouble talking to each other. We ordered burgers, medium rare and medium. When they finally arrived, we were very hungry so we immediately took a bite to find out that both burgers were well done and dry. We were too hungry to send them back and the waitress hadn't checked in with us on a timely basis so we almost finished our meals. We complained to the server whe she did arrive and she could see that the meal was overdone. She reduced the price of our bill and gave us a free dessert which was a refrigerated ball of chocolate dough.

   My 2 pork chops we way way overcooked. They should not have been served out from the kitchen. They also served mashed potatoes when I asked for baked. The wife’s meal was served not heated well. The potatoe was quickly rectified by the server. Our complimentary dessert was a small broken up piece of apple pie. Server told us up front they were out of the other 6 deserts. Not the best experience.

   Beautiful ambience! I wish I could give it 5 stars for everything but service was slow, portions were small and drinks were overpriced. Sadly some basics were lacking, hope it improves!

   Great staff. Efficient and personable. Good menu selection. Every choice was pretty good. Can't beat the atmosphere of the park.

   Brisket Mac n cheese was amazing. Burgers were also good. Food took a long time to come out, but waitress was attentive.

   The food was excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Our server tended to all our needs. It was our first time there. We will be back. Great food.

   Everything was wonderful! The food quality, portion sizes, taste, cost, and presentation were exceptional. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We actually ate there for two breakfasts and two dinners. The only thing that wasn't so great was the pizza as it just didn't have much flavor. The added bonus was free dessert for celebrating our anniversary.

    Very nice and clean resturant. Definitely happy we choose to eat here while in the Hocking Hills.
