Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Ristorante Casanova offers a mixed experience, with highlights including "wonderful service" and "fantastic food," particularly the chef's choice pasta. While some dishes like the Bolognese are "spectacular," others fall short. The atmosphere is upscale yet welcoming, but service consistency and some menu items need improvement. Overall, a promising dining spot.

Our server was just wonderful. We were on our way to a show and he made our dinner delightful while keeping everything under control for our time limitation.

Service was phenomenal- coursing, wine service and hospitality all on point. Bolognese was also spectacular, but those who got short rib pasta were unimpressed. The biggest issue were the panzanella “bread in a swamp” salads. There was no bread!! Just a few croutons and a ton of greens. Someone needs to inform them what a panzanella salad is.

Management needs to oversee all areas of this place, our server today was below average, our New York was overpriced , chewy and insipient, wen sent our focaccia back because it was less than warm, server made a face every time we asked for something, the worst of it all was when I sent back my glass of water because it smelled like raw egg, and she came back and told me they had taken a sniff and could smell anything. REALLY?

I've been here probably 4 or 5 times now, I think it's one of the best in El Paso. It's upscale but not snooty. You get great service, the food is fantastic and that says a lot because I've only been there on Mondays and Tuesdays I can imagine how the weekends must be. If you don't know what to order you can always get the chefs choice pasta, I've never been disappointed.

We order the parmigiana chicken and it was raw. Respectfully asked the waiter if she could take it back to the kitchen. She brought a second new plate, but the chicken was raw as well! We decided to stop eating after that. They did not charged me for the chicken which I think was the right thing to do.

This was one of the worse dinning experience that I have ever had. The food was not even close to pictures that were advertised on their website. I had a reservation and was set up for a romantic table setting, but instead was sitting in a small corner table with very limited leg room. I ordered a pasta dish and it was cold and extremely salty, had to send it back. The waiter was condecending and unpleasant throughout the whole time. Do not recommend this place to anyone ever.

Good experience. Took a few minutes to get our order in. (It was Valentine’s Day) but once it was in everything was great.

Both our plates were absolutely perfect. Seasoned well and their house wine is Mondavi. Waiter was eally good. He made a m8stake on our appetizer but was honest and told us and fixed it. The decoration of the restaurant is definitely lacking. For this caliber of place, they need to step it up. Looks like a hotel restaurant...should look like Cafe Central instead. Overall it's delicious. Highly recommend
