The first Risotteria Melotti was opened in Isola della Scala, in the region of VERONA, in 2002. The idea of opening a Risotteria in New York came in order to make this typical and traditional italian dish known and cooked by us, with the rice we produce and with the typical old style techniques used in Isola della Scala.

I am gluten free and dairy free and they accommodated me so well, my mom is not and still said it was the best. Will be back on every future trip!

Excellent risotto! Probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Gluten free menu was great, loved the crepe for dessert. The restaurant is very small, tables are very close together so it is very cramped. They are very quick with service which is nice but also feels like they are trying to turn tables over quickly. It’s understandable, so just know it’s not the place to go and have a long chat with someone to catch up. But if you want a delicious meal, then highly recommend!

Loved it as always, did feel like it was extra crowded this weekend because of Valentines day, our table was right next to another couple, but it hasn't felt that way in the past.

My bf is a huge fan for risotto, and seeing it was his birthday and we were in NYC, we planned on trying this restaurant. The food is great! If you are a fan of everything rice this place is it. My only complaint would be the size of the restaurant. Its too small and crammed. Yes, its NYC granted but noone likes sharing a meal with practically with strangers :)

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Risotteria Melotti. We chose the restaurant based on our long personal history with "Risotteria" the restaurant located in the Village (now closed). Melotti checked all the boxes. It was amazing. My wife has Celiac, and is very sensitive to cross contamination, so Melotti is perfect. It should be listed on more Gluten Free sites. The food was amazing. The restaurant is tiny and awesome. My wife took photos of the drawers on the walls that are used as picture frames & shelves. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. And if you are a Celiac, eat here as often as you can.
