   The appetizers potato ball and empanada were delicious. The jibalta bisteca sandwich was a little hard to eat since it was very tough and chewy but had a good flavor.

   Love their trifongo, in my opinion the absolute best! I’ve tried several things & all delicious from appetizers of empanadas, alcapurrias, sorrullitos de maíz to main dishes of el chillo, rice & beans, steak, pork, & chicken, very tasty! Deserts & drinks are also good, my favorite is el limbs de coco & drinks mojito!

   My family and I were there to celebrate my 67th birthday. The place was amazing. The waiter, Julio was amazing and the food to die for. It was worth the 35 minute drive. We will definitely go again without hesitation.

   I made a reservation about a week before December 31st and even called the restaurant the same day to confirm the reservation because I needed to adjust the number of people attending. The reservation was confirmed on the phone, so I was looking forward to dining at this restaurant. When I arrived at 7:30 PM on December 31st, as scheduled, I was shocked to find out that the kitchen was closed. To make matters worse, there was no one at the door to greet or assist me. I waited at the front for a while and eventually had to go look for someone. When I finally found a waiter, I was told with an attitude that the kitchen was closed. This experience was especially disappointing because we were not only celebrating New Year’s Eve but also our anniversary. While I understand that unexpected situations can arise, the way this was handled was incredibly unprofessional. There was no prior notification, no alternative offered, and no genuine apology for the inconvenience. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and dismissive attitude left a very bad impression. A restaurant that values its customers should ensure better planning and communication, especially on such a significant evening. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place based on my experience.

   I had high hopes for a celebratory New Year’s Eve dinner, but unfortunately, this restaurant turned out to be a major letdown. Despite the evening’s typically festive nature, the restaurant was surprisingly not as busy as anticipated, with only a handful of tables occupied—a detail that made the service and kitchen delays even more baffling. We ordered drinks and 2 appetizers and opted to place a to go order for the remaining dinner portion due to the loud ambiance. Our food took over two hours, which is unacceptable under any circumstances, let alone when the restaurant isn’t busy. When the food finally arrived, several orders were incorrect. I had ordered a medium-rare steak, but what I received was a steak so overcooked it could only be described as charred and completely inedible. The texture was tough, and the flavor was nonexistent, leaving me regretting the decision to eat here altogether. Overall, this was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I’ve ever had. What should have been a memorable New Year’s Eve dinner turned into an exercise in patience and disappointment. I cannot recommend this place, especially if you value good service, timely food, and basic quality control in the kitchen.

    This time around the experience was not that great. Service was slow. I found my meal which was rice and red beans and steak. A little bit salty. My wife had pork with rice and pigeon peas. She originally wanted the Sancocho, which they only make on Saturdays and Sundays, but we were told that they didn’t have anymore. Our dinner was at 5:45 PM. The pork was dry not very tasty. The other couple had lobster Mofongo. The lobster was overcooked. We were gonna have dessert, but no waiter to be found. We finally flagged down a waiter and paid our bill and left. Maybe it was a bad Sunday evening.
