Too bad the service was horrible because the food was great! Couple examples From the wine list our group tried to order 2 different choices of BTL...turns out they where not available and we where offered a "similar option" but much more expensive... On the menu, with the main dish chosen for one in the groupe, a side dish was mentionned but turns out it was not supposed to be on the menu (it was a mistake) but was offered to order the side dish at an additional cost of 14$...however after we mentionned that this was not OK to treat clients like this, we did get the side dish included as mentionned on the menu.... The bill at the end was also a mess....had to correct them but after a couple times it was ok. The place was pretty much emtpy when we got there at around 8h30pm but I guess it's because its' right after the hollidays. So ambiance wise it was ok but not a great as expected. In short, I would not return and do not recommend even if the food was outstanding. Compliments to the chef.

Nourriture, service et ambiance très bonne. Par contre nous avons trouvé que le prix des plats étaient exagérés, mais ça semble être la tendance de nos jours. 30$ pour le valet….trop cher aussi. Nous recommandons tout de même cet endroit, nous avons passé une belle soirée.

Unbelievably good food and such kind, attentive service. We went early for family dinner, but it was getting busy and very festive as we left. Highly recommend!

Our experience started off a bit rocky as the hostess made our group wait while she finished a conversation with her colleague, even after a waiter pointed us out to her. Once seated, however, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The wine glasses tasted a bit dusty, and while the gnocchi was decent, the portion size was smaller than expected. On a positive note, the music and ambiance were great, which added to the overall atmosphere.

Just go! We found Restaurant Sauvage because it was one of the few restaurants that still had reservations available for our first evening in Montreal. We almost walked past it because there was hardly anybody inside and we thought it was closed. But once we found our way inside, we were glad we did. The waitress told us the place had previously been a night club and only just recently re-opened as a restaurant, the night club being moved downstairs. Which explained why it was nearly empty, when every other restaurant in the area was full. Normally, empty tables would set off alarm bells for me, but it turns out that we got lucky because Sauvage was fantastic! We were told the chef is new and takes his menu very seriously. It shows, as everything was delicious! The flavors were spot on - compliments to the chef. We ordered wines by the glass, which were both excellent picks. My wife had a Soave and I had a Spanish Grenache blend - both were very well balanced and outstanding selections. My only slight complaint was that the pours were a little small. A 5 ounce pour is typical, but ours were more like 3 ounces. A little disappointing, but other than that everything was great, so I won't make too much of it. The staff were very helpful, polite, friendly, and attentive. Our waitress was super nice, checking with the chef to make sure my wife's dairy intolerance was accommodated. She also did a little investigation when my curiosity got the best of me and I inquired about the digital display on the wall which blinked with seemingly random numbers. Turns out it's a decibel meter, from the building's former life as a dance floor! Seriously, just go to Restaurant Sauvage. At the moment, few people seem to know about it, so you'll have no trouble making reservations. My guess is that, once the word gets out, this place is going to be very popular.

assiette sale, verre sale, cheveux et cil dans nourriture…. nouvelle établissement en tant que restaurant, donnons une chance mais ouf!!! par contre le service était vraiment super agréable, souriant et courtois!!!
