At Restaurant 1818 you will dine in what was originally the Men's and Ladies’ Parlors of the Main House. These two parlors are adorned with authentic period crystal gasoliers. These impressive reproduction chandeliers and wall sconces were custom made for Monmouth by the artisans at Waterford Crystal in Ireland.

Guests have complete dining freedom when they reserve a table at Restaurant 1818. Here guests can select menu items on an a la carte basis from the gourmet appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, and desserts offered that evening. A full wine list and wine by the glass program is available to ensure your dining experience is the very best Natchez has to offer!

Private dining by candlelight is also offered for 8 to 12 people at the main dining room table. This room exemplifies the elegant dining experience which has been customary since the days of John and Eliza Quitman.

This was a return visit for us as we were In Natchez last year and toured this house then came back for dinner. This time we had the fried green tomatoes w/ crab, the fish of the day and crème brûlée to finish the evening. All the food was excellent, our service from Dao was exceptional and the ambience of the mansion was amazing. We feel blessed to be able to be here and dine at this beautiful restaurant. We will be back when in the area next.

The restaurant boasts it is 5star. The only 5 star was the waiter George and the broccoli cheddar soup. Everything else was over priced and over hyped. The dining area is not private or romantic. We both ordered filet Mignon and received the worse cut of meat I’ve ever seen. The beef was so tough you had to saw to cut through it and the taste reminded me of bouillon cube. It was served with 3 pieces of asparagus and 1 ice cream scoop size of mashed potatoes for $54. We had 2 bites of beef and asparagus for dinner and left hungry. The waiter George was very kind and apologized but the kitchen staff could be heard saying negative things. 2 other couples ordered the same thing while we were there and they too left hungry because the beef was so gross. The decor in the home was very pretty but if you want a good steak skip the dinner and take the tour.

We had a lovely dinner at 1818! Our waiter George was very attentive; he has been there over 30 years and knew lots of the history of the place. The redfish special was delicious, and the duck entree was very tender and cooked perfectly! The restaurant was quiet and the ambiance so nice. We will be back!

Once again, we had a perfect dining experience at 1818. The service is always top notch and the staff are familiar with us and always deliver the best! Our entrees of duck breast and redfish were prepared perfectly with excellent sides. We did start with the roasted red pepper soup and gumbo and both were very tasty. The atmosphere and elegance of the dining rooms make it extra special. This will continue to be a regular stop for us. Can't wait for the next time!!

The soup needed to be sent back as it was lukewarm, but the server was very attentive and made sure that it was to our satisfaction. The fried green tomatoes were thinly sliced and were topped in just the right amount of remoulade sauce. The wedge salad was perfect. Highly recommend the wedge salad if you decide to forego the entrees. Overall, it was a nice spot to enjoy our last meal before we headed out of Natchez.

The ambiance was wonderful. Like going back to the early 1800’s. Our server George was incredibly seasoned and gracious. Chef Mike prepares innovative and delicious meals. An amazing dinner experience.
