   Chose this resto based on positive reviews…not sure what you experienced. We were there on our honeymoon, and every other resto we visited made it a memorable experience. The place was empty, and we seated in a too dark corner. Our server wasn’t really engaged. We were close enough to overhear a conversation between 2 other patrons and a server…let’s just say we wish we’d had him instead. The foie gras was drenched in balsamic and chutney, and not a great experience. The cacio e Pepe was average. My husband had the Nicoise salad and it was underwhelming. As we overheard, the server at the other table admitted that Sedona doesn’t have good fine dining…and I will say, this restaurant is not it.

   Top 5 meals in my lifetime. From the cocktails to the desserts everything was outstanding! Steaks to sides… I cannot say enough! Well worth the price

   Francisco was our waiter and he was great! He had our porterhouse sliced before serving it, was very helpful with our wine selection. The food was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

   Rene is a great place to relax and enjoy an excellent meal. Prices are on the high side, but it's worth it. Service is prompt, friendly, and thoughtful. Food presentation is excellent. The ambiance is superb here -- quiet and dimly lit, relaxed pace of service that makes for a soothing, luxurious experience. Nice variety of dishes on the menu, and a pretty extensive wine list.

   My soup didn’t come til 15 mins after everyone else Starter. Waiters seemed razzeled and confused all evening. Not our normal experience at Renee’s.

   James was a great server - would happy have him again, portions were small, French onion soup was a ball of cheese (and not many onions).

   Outstanding. Service was top notch. The chef selection of foie gras and crispy pork belly is amazing. When we come back to Sedona, Rene will be our first choice.

    I’ve visited Rene’s at Numerous times over the last 6 years Though greatness and lows. In 2023 the service and the food was delectable! But Nov 2024, Back to the Lowest. Our server was completely under qualified to work at this level of restaurant. Not knowing any of the details of how the dishes are prepared and long wait times between her visits. We saw the water girl frequently, and she was super pleasant & helpful! As for the food: Clearly you’ve lowered the food quality standard that you have had in the recent past. -The arugula salad was nice, but the salmon was over cooked & rather tasteless. -Please don’t serve steer anymore. (Unless you change purveyors.) I’ve never had a ribeye (cooked medium, ordered under medium rare) that offered so much gristle and No marbling. The ambiance was great! We had such a good, fun conversation going, and It took so long to get what we ordered the first time, that we didn’t send it back. But it should’ve been. BTW - It’s hard to call yourself a French restaurant when only offering 6 different bottles of red wine. And a dozen Italian reds. I'm waiting for the next owner & chef to take over again, before I’d return.
