We love the refinery. We booked what we thought was lunch at 1:30 not knowing that it was a mandatory brunch. We would not have eaten there if that was the case. We were told we could not order off of the regular menu that it was buffet or nothing. As a pescatarian, there was not very many options for me to eat. My husband and son also complained about the meat all being overcooked. I would not come back here for brunch. It was one step above a hotel brunch.

35 minutes to get a dirty martini in an uncrowded restaurant and bar area … really. I will say the food came out fast. Wouldn’t recommend.

This was our first time here and we did not know that the dining area didn't open till 5:00 PM. It was supposed to be a special occasion for my wife's birthday and I was a little ticked when I found out that the only available seating was at the indoor bar area and not a window seat looking out to the ocean. Our reservation was at 4:00 pm. The server and food was very good. There was no manager around that I noticed and seemed to be total indifference as to whether we ate or left. Maybe I was just looking for something a little better than what we got.

The restaurant is beautiful. It is one of the rare places in Jax Beach. That is an oceanfront fine dining establishment. Beautiful food and yummy food.

Tried the Refinery for the first time Friday, 2/28. Came in with modest expectations but all were exceeded. The food was outstanding.I had the short rib entree which was outstanding. Also had the side Caesar which was very good. We ordered multiple sides ( broccoli, loaded fries, mashed potatoes, bread and all were good but the brussel sprouts were excellent. Lastly, our server, Michael, went above and beyond. I’d try to get his table if at all possible. Overall, great experience.
