Since it opening in 2006, Red Pony Restaurant has impressed guests by staying true to a mission focused on cuisine and service.
Chef owned and operated, Red Pony changes its menu about six times a year with the intention of keeping ingredients the season’s freshest and the variety of dishes dynamic.
While a great deal of the menu pays homage to the Sophisticated Southern foods Chef Jason McConnell grew up on, you will also see a reflection of his travels, that drive his creativity.
It is our belief that food is something to be celebrated. We also believe that experience is a huge part of dining. Whether it be enjoying a crafted cocktail at one of our bars or enjoying dinner at the table, we want each guest to be seamlessly guided through their time at Red Pony Restaurant.

    Waiter was terrible. Sat us at the table, no water, no drink order and went right into what the specials were for the evening. Food choices were limited and the food was mediocre at best. We have been to the Red Pony many times and have always had a good experience. Friends came in out of town and I figured Red Pony was a safe bet based on past experiences. I was embarrassed to have taken them there when there are so many good restaurants out there to pick from. Maybe they have a new chef or manager, but I won’t be back anytime soon.

    We had Scott as our waiter, it was his final day of training. Scott was very attentive and his trainer was really great. Everything was pleasant from the moment we walked in the door. Atmosphere was wonderful and the food was delicious! We’ll definitely be back.

    Our server took great care of us and guided us through the meal pairing a great French wine to our selections. We loved each course and left fully stuffed

    Love this place. My tenderloin was fantastic, my wife had shrimp n grits which were delish. My daughter who was there with us ordered the half chicken and it was so dry she could barely chew and swallow it. We didn’t complain because that’s just not us but note to self, don’t order the chicken again.

    First time, seating is very limited and packed in tightly with energetic atmosphere. All staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of menu items. We started out with the salmon dip, delicious but felt like it was lacking salmon. Hubby had short ribs and he enjoyed them and especially whatever was paired with it. I had the shrimp and grits, small portion but perfect. Finished off the meal with the apple crisp which just hit right on a cold night. Definitely a must if you’re in the Franklin area.

    Our favorite place for more than ten years now. Mushroom toast app was a highlight. Filet was outstanding as were eggplant meatballs. Service was outstanding. Wish they had a few more red wines in the sub $75 range. Always a great meal here-never been dissapointed.
