   First time eating at Rail House Victoria with my husband and two friends. Nice location close to Victoria station. Varied menu - lots of choice for everyone. Good drinks menu. Two of us had trout and two had the chicken bun. Please note that you need to self-order, using the barcode on the table, and also pre-pay using the app.

   The place has a nice aesthetic and the food was passable, not outstanding but nice enough. I had the chicken burger and my guest had the minute steak. Neither of these dishes came with a side which was disappointing given their £16 and £17 respective price tags. My burger (and extra side of fries) was filling enough but my guest was definitely still hungry after her thin steak and chips. Service was very much below what I would expect for a place that automatically adds a 13.5% service charge to the bill. I got the impression our server didn't like us much and avoided our table. Overall I won't be back anytime soon sadly as the décor and location are great, but there are just too many other lovely places around the area (that will also include fries with your burger as standard...)

    This morning, we had our work team's breakfast. The coffee is lovely and the food delicious. The staff was very accommodating. We booked only for 10, but they were quick to sort out extra couple of seats to accommodate the ones who turned up without confirming their attendance. We will definitely use Rail House Victoria again :-)
