   A good find and will certainly go back! We were sat in the restaurant bit which was nice. There was one lady working and she was busy but looked after us well!

   Our lunch was spoiled by the strange and impolite service! Also, after he told me that my Santander card had been declined for £7.50, I paid him with my mbna card. I can now see that both cards have had £7.50 deducted, please thank him for his unwelcome lecture on the idiosyncrasies of paying by card!

   Despite having had a confirmation of the booking and a reminder the day before, I arrived to find the restaurant was closed and they were not offering any food. Things happen, but there had been no attempt to contact me and the manager was very rude.

   Unfortunately, our chef had a family emergency and we had to close the restaurant the day you visited us, as I had explained. I attempted to call you three times as soon as we had closed the restaurant, but your phone rang straight to voicemail. As I explained, it is not ourselves that send through the confirmation, but the third-party booking site. I do apologise that I got rather defensive, although I do not appreciate being shouted at by a member of the public, over something that was out of my control. These things do happen, but there was no need to be as abrupt and rude as yourself that evening.

   We had the Sunday roast and it was delicious. The restaurant was quiet that evening so can’t really comment on the ambiance. Will be back if in the area again.

   Expected better - chicken tikka masala was very dry, didn’t have any mango chutney when requested.Cartmel sticky toffee pudding was overdone. Wouldn’t return

   We arrived and shown our table. We weren’t given any type of menu unfortunately but were later informed it was just a limited menu, just serving Sunday dinner which was not advertised anywhere online. The food was nice, restaurant area lovely, staff not very attentive but think they might have been short staffed.

   We arrived 10minutes before our booking, we were shown to our table and waited 5 minutes then ordered drinks. We got our drinks and waited a further 30 minutes before someone came and took our order. I know it was busy as it was mother's day, but people came in after us and got served quickly and their food came out quickly. We got another drink ,but still no food after an hour of waiting. I asked to pay for our drinks as we left. I was given my drinks free and an apology given, still wasn't happy as we were on holiday and there was nowhere else open and I was looking forward to the Sunday roast. I feel the manageress could have done more than stand at tables and chat to customers and look around and see who was needing served.

   Me and my husband went, I had Sunday lunch which was lovely and husband had chicken burger which he said was lovely too.

    They served a £18 ‘special’ king prawn and crab linguine without fresh pasta, tinned tomatoes and frozen standard prawns that hadn’t been fully defrosted. Dangerous and inedible.
