   Had a great experience at Public House with party of 4 friends on 2/21. I ordered the vegetable platter and picked Brussel sprouts, beans, sweet potato and beet salad with a nice glass of pinot noir. The Brussel sprouts were perfect - slightly charred and salted perfectly. Loved the beet salad. I could have eaten more of it. The only drawback was the sweet potato dish. Slightly stringy texture that put me off a bit. Service was great!! Will come back.

   I had pork tenderloin with grits and apple chutney. The pork was very tender and seasoned perfectly. I loved apple chutney which was balancing with super creamy grits.

   I think The Public House has not only wonderful food, but also the most well trained wait staff of all the restaurants in Chattanooga. It starts with Lou, the manager, who keeps the plates spinning so all runs smoothly. I was facing the kitchen last night and told my husband I was mesmerized observing the "gears" turn like a well run watch. It was like an orchestrated symphony ! Our waiter, John, was the best. He had waited on me once before and greeted me with a big smile and made me feel like I was back for dinner with family. John had the uncanny ability to appear at our table at just the right time. I think he must have had an extra eyeball in the back of his head because it was a busy evening and his tables were full. He didn't hover and our food and drink were both delivered quickly. Going back to my first comment; not only does The Public House have great food, but they have the BEST staff!! We're looking forward to our next visit:-)

   Very comfy, but the catfish has flavorless skin and tastes very fishy, burger was kind of dry, and for the price, ($30 a person) it was an ok experience, I suggest going somewhere else with better food is your going somewhere fancy

   Service was GREAT - timely, attentive and warm. Menu had a variety of options including beef, pork, seafood, vegetables and cocktails. Presentation of the food and drinks was impressive. Unfortunately, the food was not as flavorful as my husband and I would have preferred. The Valentines card, coupon and invitation to return was a thoughtful marketing gesture.

    The food was excellent. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The outdoor seating had outdoor heaters, but could be a little warmer. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely come back.
