   We had a great dining experience, recommend to anyone considering Primal to give it a go. Portions are large, food quality and taste were fantastic, service was top tier (Melia) and prices while high, aren’t out of line at all for what you get. And the drinks were creative and tasty.

   Primal Steakhouse surprised me. It actually pretty good and better than I was expecting after reading several mixed reviews. While the music that was live was good I could see where it would be really loud if you were seated up toward the front , we were not which was good. We could enjoy the music without it being too loud. There were three of us, we ordered two Filets and one order of the Smoked Chilean Seabass and Crab Risotto. All of this was very good. I had read several comments about desserts being small but they looked normal size to me. The desserts were tasty, we had the Lava Cake and a Creme Brulee. There was only two thing that did not make it perfect. Service was not overly great after we finished appetizers we waited a good 15 to 20 minutes for the entrees, they had already cleared the table of plates from appetizers, then after our entrees were finished we waited another 15 minutes to see the dessert menu. The other thing which is not the fault of the restaurant is how dark the inside of the restaurant is. My husband has macular degeneration and does not have good eye sight. We could not see at all inside, then most of the entrees are served on black plates. He could not see the food at all. We do want to return but we will need to request white plates so he can see the food.

   Researched restaurants with good atmosphere when looking to book a table for special birthday occasion and glad we went with Primal. Convenient to get to from the strip via rideshare, excellent ambiance and friendly, attentive servers and staff, very good food. All in all, was great and everyone in my party was pleased with their food, drink and the servers and the ambiance, felt very intimate, not super rushed to finish and turn the tables quickly. Would return again.

   We were really disappointed with our experience. The food quality was well below expectations: the bone marrow had an unpleasant consistency, the lobster was discolored and left a bad aftertaste—even under the restaurant’s dim lighting—and the steak was no better. Given the glowing reviews and enticing advertisements, we expected a high-end dining experience but ended up genuinely concerned about food safety. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype.
