We had a nice experience sitting in the bar at one of the high tops. Bartender and staff were friendly and helpful. The main course came out within a few minutes of the appetizer, so I would recommend letting them know when you want your main course, or order it later. Good chicken parmesan and good soup. Mussels were excellent as well. We like the vibe in there.

While we have had good meals at Pranzo over the years, last night was a truly bad experience. The dining room was cold and we were seated next to a table of 6 that was unbelievably loud. We ordered zucchini fries to start, and received french fries. We told the waiter about the mistake and he shrugged and did nothing to fix the problem. My husband ordered a puttanesca pizza that was so spicy that was inedible. We both enjoy pizza with a kick, but this was far beyond a reasonable heat. In addition, the crust was burned, as was my ‘s pear pizza. Big chunks of the cross were absolutely carbon black. I ordered one of the specials, which was tenderloin bolognese luggage I received a big bowl of red sauce with virtually no meat. This for no resemblanceto a bolognese I have ever eaten. I would estimate that I had one and 3/4 cup of sweet tomato sauce, with about 1/2 cup of fettuccine. When I asked for additional pasta, I received about a cup and a half of additional fettuccine swimming in at least one full cup of melted butter. Not at all what I was hoping for when I wanted to balance the amount of pasta and sauce. The server is a nice man and was apologetic, but it will be a long time before we try again.

I ordered Linguine con Salsiccia. First off, it was not linguine, it was fettucine. Second, and worst, it was handmade pasta which was not made properly. It was horribly overcooked with pieces stuck together. It was slimy and stretchy like a rubberband with thin, rough edges--totally unappetizing. Third, it was green and white fettucine served in a really heavy tomato sauce which was an unappetizing combination. I've seen some photos of the dish when it was actually served with linguine and I've had it like that when it was good. This was unacceptable all around. A high-end chef should never let things like this out of his kitchen. My mother had linguine bolognese and hers looked identical to mine--it just had beef instead of salsiccia and hers was also disgusting. She had to send her martini back also, and my glass of wine was also not very good and a very small serving. I will say that the chef took my dish off the bill since I complained which was due to our top-notch waitress relaying my disappointment, but my mother was too embarrassed to complain as are most people, I imagine. People should not have to pay prices like this just because they are dining in an expensive tourist town. The food should be up to snuff for prices like these. We used to have great food all over Santa Fe, now it is very hard to find, no matter how much you pay.

We had a great meal last evening! Made a reservation (and it was NYE) and were seated within a few minutes of arrival. Our server was on point. She was so friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and was excellent. My husband had the crispy chicken and I had the ravioli...we shared a caprese appetizer. A nice experience over all!

Overall food was good. Lamb shank was phenomenal. However, ahi tuna was way overcooked but still had good flavor.

Made a reservation and walked into a completely full restaurant at 6:30pm. Ended up at the bar to avoid a long wait. Normally their pasta is cooked al dente, but my bolognese was mushy. Bar staff very attentive. Felt for the hostess having to deal with unhappy folks who had “reservations”.
