   Bit disappointed this time! We are long-term fans of Poppies Soho, but this time we felt prices were up, portion sizes were down, the food didn't seem freshly cooked, and our end of the restaurant had quite a few fruit flies buzzing around.

   It's usually busy and a bit loud but the service is always excellent and the food was good.

   I didn't like the service or treatment at all, since we are Spanish and there are things that are difficult for us to understand and they made us rush to try to get as many people in as possible. They won't let us look at the letter in case we wanted to pick up something else. We spent 20 minutes on the clock, having to eat quickly without enjoying anything.

   The food was good, and the service was very fast. However, after paying, we were immediately required to leave the table and vacate the premises.

   Se come pescado con patatas fritas básicamente. Me pareció caro para lo que es, unas 20 libras cada plato. Al terminar de comer nos metieron prisa para que nos levantáramos y así dejar la mesa libre. El sitio no es nada de otro mundo, no merece la fama que tiene.

    Het eten was goed, maar de houding van de gastheren gaf mij een opgejaagd gevoel. Alles leek gehaast en gericht op het zo snel mogelijk afhandelen van de gasten. Wat mij daarnaast opviel, was dat ze op een dwingende manier probeerden hun keuzes op te leggen. Toen ik bijvoorbeeld aangaf de kabeljauw te willen proberen in plaats van de schelvis, voelde ik druk om toch iets anders te nemen. Als ik niet standvastig was gebleven, had ik iets gekregen wat ik niet wilde. Door deze onvriendelijke benadering zal ik hier niet snel terugkomen.
