PJ Lobster House in Port Jefferson, New York, is a seafood restaurant that also doubles as a fresh fish market to the local community. Diners who come in for a meal enjoy the cozy, casual atmosphere, perfect for digging into a plate of oysters on the half shell. There is something for everyone with a menu including seafood, steaks, burgers, chicken and pasta. Enjoy a meal under our heaters on the outside deck during the warmer seasons. Full bar available and a great place to catch your favorite sports games. Dogs are permitted on the outside deck. We are family friendly, so make sure to stop in after your visit to Rocketship Park which is located just across our parking lot.
We additionally serve Sushi Wednesday - Sunday.

The waiter was excellent. Enthusiastic, friendly and prioritized service. It was downhill from there. The news was on one of the TVs with the volume turned up, whilst they simultaneously played loud unappealing music. The ambience was lacking. Moving on to the cuisine, the clams were tasteless, possibly because they were farmed. The lobster bisque had a fair amount of potato’s and minimal lobster. The creamed spinach was as though someone poured half and half, or possibly milk, in and forgot to cook it, as well as being minuscule. The swordfish dish was completely mislabeled and not what was described on the menu. The lobster roll was long but there was very little lobster. The tiramisu was fairly authentic, though why they needed to augment it with two large swirls of whip cream and hersheys chocolate sauce is beyond us. In summary, we would not go back or recommend anyone else did. How has this restaurant been around for nearly thirty years?

I have been dining here for many years but I must say they have stepped it up recently. I had the clams casino and a 2-1/2 lobster. The clams and whatever that sauce was outstanding! I’ll be sure to make that a double next time I go. The lobster as always was delicious. Great and friendly service. Nice job PJ lobster House.

Everything we ordered was terrible. Perhaps we ordered the wrong items. Service was excellent. Booth was uncomfortable and someone on the other side kept pushing on it. Think airplane seats with the person behind you kicking your seat. We will not be returning.

One of the best dinners we had in a long time. Food was great, plentiful and very reasonably priced. We had a christmas eve dinner. Service was friendly and fast. Highly recommend.
