I’m a regular at LEYE Restaurants, and I’m familiar with their nonsensical 3.5% surcharge. However, I find it unacceptable to charge $12 for large ice cubes.

Noisy place, but the service was outstanding. My water glass never got empty. There was always someone there to fill it. We were there on a Monday night, and it was packed. It was surprising how many birthdays there were. We knew they were birthdays because they bring out ice cream with some kind of shooting sparkle candle on top. The prices were my only real gripe. For instance, I ordered chicken with my salad. The chicken cost eight dollars, and it comes out on a small skewer with four small pieces of chicken on it. When you get the bill at the end of the night, you will notice they added a surcharge for no particular reason. They will remove it if you ask, but it is a bit of a hassle. I’m not sure of the need of a surcharge if they are gouging you for prices on other items.
