   Pizza Portofino is one of my favorite spots in the city. The garlic bread and truffle pizza (request hot honey, trust me) are GAME CHANGER. I went with a few friends and we all agreed that they both redefined garlic bread and pizza (at least in Illinois) respectively. Great service and great vibes!

   We ran late due to the Thanksgiving parade (we were on the wrong side of Michigan Ave…) but they were able to hold a table for us despite turning away walk-ins. Service, the food, and the drinks were very good. We did not get a “Portofino Purse,” but my wife enjoyed her spritz. We all shared a Romaine Caesar salad, Pesto Genovese pasta, traditional cheese pizza, and parmesan fries. They were out of the Nutella cookie, but my wife received a birthday dessert (Profiteroles?) along with a sparkler that successfully embarrassed her (this is a good thing). A personalized menu was a nice touch too. We came as a family (with 2 young boys), so we didn’t exactly fit in on a Saturday night, but everything was excellent regardless!

   We came here to celebrate a birthday party and it was absolutely amazing. Our waiter: Bailey was personable, friendly & informative on everything at the restaurant. Definitely will be returning, everything was great from the service to the food/drinks!

    We sat on the closed in patio with heaters. Temp was decent but would not recommend patio dining past December.
