   Our overall experience at the Pied Bull was one that we will never go again. The meal was a total rip off. We paid £56.00 for an Angus well matured sirloin steak which was probably 6ozs in weight which was tasteless overcooked and barely warm. It was accompanied with a baked tomato a flat mushroom undercooked and a small cup of thin chips which were hot. The small pan of gravy was very salty. The only positive thing was the lovely girl who served us so we didn’t want to complain to her as she has served us served us before in the past. We are pensioners and decided to go out for a meal as a treat and we came away that evening so very disappointed and demoralised we both felt like crying. We will never go again.

   Hi Eric Thank you for your feed back I have noticed you have already left a review on Trip adviser there is no need to leave one on every platform If you were so unhappy with the food you should of ask to speak to a manager your certainly not going to upset the young girl who served you I think if the food was as bad you have said rather than pay for it you would of asked to speak to someone rather than leave 2 nasty reviews on different platform this could of been sorted for you as we like our guests to leave happy . If you would like to call me on the pub number I'm sure we can have a polite conversation to rectify this Michael

   The beef roast dinner was very greasy but the beef was lovely. The roast potatoes & vegetables were full of grease.

   A great experience as always. The pub has such a cosy atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Ben is sn asset to the venue . Had a fantastic meal withour friends. Thank you.

    Having had an excellent lunch here recently, we decided to try early Saturday evening for dinner. One starter came as a mix of the special terrine and the normal one off the menu which unfortunately did not mix well. Without trying to make too much fuss I asked the waitress to let the chef know. Didn’t hear anything further from the kitchen. The special trout supreme came without the supreme and quite dry! The food was not horrible, it just lacked any kind of care, poorly presented and incorrectly prepared. Add to this a VERY loud disco going on in the background and I think the lesson hear might be to avoid Saturday nights when the emphasis is on night life rather than restaurant. Waiting staff were good and attentive! For above average pub prices, should be much better!
