   it was good, the food, the ambiance, overall really nice location. My only major concern is the tip. I gave 70 for a 52 dollar bill, with the intention to tip 10. I got my change back, and they said they didn’t have enough change. That’s not a problem, but they took that as tip and said here is 15 dollars we don’t have any coins and left. That is NOT proper service! The proper thing to do is to come back to the table and speak to me and say that they do not have any change and to ask if there are any other alternatives for me to receive the rest of my change. At that moment, I would’ve said it’s okay and to keep the change and I would’ve added more tip on top. Along with that, I think that is a generous tip considering they forgot my birthday. I wrote in the comments that the occasion is my birthday and I had expected a tiny cake that even I could have paid for, but not even a happy birthday was said. I was really disappointed as other restaurants that I go to always remember when I state it in the reservation, I feel much more valued and appreciated there. Tip is not required, it is an act of kindness. Was really disappointed as i chose this restaurant to be my birthday restaurant lunch/dinner this year.

   I dined for lunch and decided to have the lunch special which is a great appetizer, main, dessert deal. Unfortunately, despite telling the server we needed to leave by a certain time, we were still waiting on our desserts 20mins after our main dishes had been cleared. Even when we flagged we hadn't received the desserts when paying the bill, the server didn't do anything to expedite this. Disappointed we had to leave without getting this course.

   We had a great dinner with the family style menu to celebrate a birthday, but even though a couple people informed the waitress and the reservation had the ‘Birthday’ occasion, when we got dessert we didn’t get any candles. We also noticed there were 2 other tables celebrating birthdays and both got candles with their desserts… so that was pretty disappointing for the birthday girl. Regardless of that experience and average service from the waitress, the food was good.

   We had $200 in gift certificates they refused to accept since they were expired a couple of weeks. To my knowledge, this is against the law.

   The staff were very friendly and relatively attentive. The tables that we were at had about 18” of separation. The seating of the table beside us had 4 people talking right us and the couple beside were very loud. I am thankful that I was not on a date. The burrrata appetizer was very good. I ordered the Carbonara pasta and my wife ordered the Mushroom Cavatelli. Both were over-the-top heavy with cheese. We also shared the Brussels - they were very good. Maybe a little salty but yummy. The Tiramisu for desert was perfect. I can say that the meal stuck with us for the next 4 hours and not in the most pleasant way. Maybe we should have had the pizza!

   Very attentive and polite service. While the restaurant was busy, it seemed adequately staffed such that we were not waiting long to be served. Meals were tasty overall - love the Cavatelli alla vodka, and the Sweet Hornet pizza - rich, filling , good portions. The only drawback was the size of the table - it was way too small for our group of 5 so spent too much time trying to get things to fit, albeit the meals came in stages so helped that situation.

   A super vibe with great service and outstanding cuisine. A must visit for an upscale but casual dining experience.

    The servers were very sweet but we waited 15 minutes from a glass of water to a cocktail and that was only after flagging down several people including one who said “your server is very busy right now”. Dinner was my Christmas treat to a friend so that was a little embarrassing. The food at Piano Piano has begun to resemble “chain restaurants “ and has lost it’s unique quality. I’m very disappointed.
