Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events.

Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles. Additionally, Petit Trois was featured on the late Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles list from 2015-2017 and has remained on the list since 2019 when Bill Addison & Patricia Escárcega took over.

From the OpenTable editors: Whereas the original Petit Trois is just as its name implies—small—Ludo Lefebvre’s second, much larger iteration of the restaurant in Sherman Oaks is all high ceilings, gold accents, and comfy mint green banquettes. You can still order all of the hits, like steak frites and the famous Le Big Mec burger, but a word of advice: Book a seat at the compact chef’s counter to get a view of all the action in the kitchen.

We really had a great time at this restaurant. We had escargot, big mec, and French onion soup. Everything was so delicious 😋 We really missed their apple tart and chocolate soufflé for desserts. But we tried chocolate and vanilla bean ice cream. They were very good especially the vanilla bean ice cream was outstanding❣️We will be back !

Seated immediately by a lovely hostess. . Server was very nice. Unfortunately the unwillingness to change the mashed potatoes to French fries was annoying. I had to ask multiple times for ice. Lack of flexibility doesn’t work.

The perfect place for a celebratory dinner! Service was exemplary and the food as usual, was excellent. Always a pleasure to dine at Petit Trois.

Food was great as usual but service was slow and we had to keep reminding our server of what we ordered. Normally service is good there so hopefully just a bad day.

One of my favorite LA restaurants. The omelet is excellent as is the burger, and they make the best frites in town. C'est formidable!

Petit Trois in Hollywood is a favorite of ours- we probably went 15-20 times in 2024. We chose to book NYE at Le Valley for the space and ambiance bc of the holiday. Had you asked me if I could have ever had such a disappointing meal from Petit Trois- I would have NEVER believed you. Steak tartare was a pile of meat on a plate with a side of fries (no shallots and no sourdough), $41 fried chicken special was 90% fried batter and 10% chicken (and that’s being generous). They were out of everything (food and cocktail ingredients) and it just appeared they were serving scraps and trying to pass it off as complete dishes for full price. When I questioned our server on the difference with the steak tartare she told Me “Oh we changed it!” Interestingly enough- it’s the same on the menu and a nearby table was served it correctly before we received ours. Trying to decide if this is an epic downturn or if it was just a restaurant woefully unprepared for NYE. So bummed and not the end of year celebration we had hoped for.

Our dinner was excellent. We had a large group that unfortunately dwindled to 3. The restaurant sat us quickly with no issues about the change in our party. Wonderful food and service. Already planning our next visit.
