   This was our first time visiting and holy moly this place is a game changer in terms of bars and hidden speakeasy’s. The food was great, the drinks were fantastic, and the experience was something else!

   I cannot recommend Permanent Vacation enough. We love to go to tiki bars whatever city we are in. And this one is the best spot yet! And that’s saying a lot! The drinks are fabulous (make sure you get the pain killer! Best I’ve ever had), the food is great! And the atmosphere is a total vibe!

   This is our second time coming out to the bar and it was just as great as last time! Truly a fun night out. Only gave one less star to the food only because the kitchen was so far behind it took longer. But our server made it up for us and extended our time . Can’t wait to return in the future .

   My wife and I went for our anniversary. It was slower than we have seen it on previous visits. This time we chose drinks from the Admiral Hours menu. All the drinks were superb. We split the shrimp kebabs for a small meal. Permanent Vacation is our neighborhood tiki bar, and we always enjoy our visits.

   It started with the Hawaiian shirts, then casually visiting tiki bars, then planning whole trips around them, at which point I feel like I can say I've become a full tikiphile. My wife and I have been to many throughout the Southeast including The Bahi Hut, Mai-Kai, Trader Vic's, Trader Sam's, and quite a few others. Permanent Vacation certainly deserves its place among these classics - the quality of the drinks, which pack quite a punch, the food, the ambiance and the attention to detail in décor and style all make it well worth a visit. Taking a page from Trader Sam's, ordering certain drinks results in various entertaining effects throughout the bar. Coming up on just its second year, this is certainly one to add to your list.

   I am a tiki enthusiast and have been to some of the best tiki bars in the country. This place ranks, well crafted drinks,perfect music, great environment, really great food, enthusiastic, attentive and knowledgeable service. They knew when to be around and when not to be in the way. My friends that went with me are not into tiki and found it to be fun and exciting.

   This is an IMMERSIVE experience. It's vibrant and exciting. Treat yourself - make a reservation. No hooks under the tables/bar for handbags - that would be very nice to have. Fantastic staff!

   Such an awesome experience. From the greeters that helped with the intro to what we were about to see and experience, to the “Travel Agent” that guided our meal and beverage journey, this place knocked it outta the park. A cool, funky vibe, with detail after detail, that literally overwhelms your senses, but in all the good ways. Drinks were outstanding and expertly presented (whether the beverage had a “theme song” or not). The food was insanely plentiful. Two extremely meaty and decadent pork shanks for me, and the lady had the filet skewers, that I have to believe had over a 1 lb of tenderloin on it. Sweet island-y vibes to the taste. And the coconut rice was addictive. A must for a great date night. Will be back when in town again.
