   Bold yet comforting dishes. We were pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend the chef's choice menu. There wasn't any dish we wouldn't have again. Salad, tartar, farro. The egg tart at the end was a star. Better than the famous tarts in Lisbon. Cozy ambiance.

   Ordered the chef's choice set menu. A variety of new dishes for us. Lots of flavour with anchovies, pickles and olives. Enjoyed the bone marrow dish and venison tartar as well as the spicy anchovie salad. The desert was a yummy egg tart with a crispy/chewy pastry that everyone enjoyed. They ran out of their hazy IPA on tap part way through the evening which was disappointing. Enjoyed our Commercial Drive evening out, thanks!

   Have been a fan of their Happy Hour for a while. Came for Justin's take over and had the chef's menu. Food was excellent, and our server was attentive, friendly and knowledegable with wine pairings. Highly recommend if looking for options on the Drive.

   Our servers were great and super apologetic when the menu items that we requested were not available. The food we did have was good but it was a very limited selection to choose from. Great bottle of wine helped manage the disappointment.

   Cocktails were great.. maybe a bit in the sweet side.. but really well made. Food was average to below average but at a high price point.. it also took 2.5 hours for the meal.. at 1.5 hours in, we had only been served a small shared salad an oyster and a spoon sized tart. We were hungry snd 3 cocktails in… service needed to be much faster and food could have used some sparkle for the cost. This was their valentines set menu, so still willing to give them a chance on a regular night… go for cocktails!

   I liked the food , but for the price was not the best, but I still recommend this place. The vibe is nice, service is good , drinks are executed

   We recently dined with a group of friends, experiencing the chef's choice menu and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The food was delicious and the service was warm and attentive. We will happily return!

    An excellent dining experience! Highly recommend! Venison tartare, olives with tangerine and chili, beef marrow, gambas - we loved it all. It was our anniversary and we had great service, but we’ve dined at Pax Romana many times and the service (and food) has always been wonderful! Enjoy!!
